Students must be enrolled in an agriculture class (in either semester) to be an official FFA member. All FFA announcements are sent via the Remind app which can be joined by using code @aa6c67. Other FFA events and announcements are shared on our Instagram and Facebook @LorisLionsFFA.

LORIS HIGH SCHOOL PEER MENTOR PROGRAM
The LHS Peer Mentor Program is open for 9th-12th grades. Criteria are as follows: 1. Peer Mentors Must Maintain a “C” Average In all Classes. 2. Peer Mentors Must Have a Good Discipline Record and Display Appropriate Behavior(s) At LHS and LHS Events / Community Events 3. Peer Mentors Must Lead by “Example and Service” 4. Peer mentors Must Have an Attitude of Excellence Because Excellence is an Attitude, not a Skill. 5. Peer Mentors Are Loris Lion(s) Proud and Promote the Loris LION Pride & Spirit in and out of School. 6. Peer Mentors Must Be Mindful That They Are Leaders and Leaders Are People of Integrity and Character.

BATTLE OF THE BOOKS
A love of reading is the only requirement. Students will be required to read books from the 2025-26 Battle of the Books List. Stop by the media center for more information. Students interested are asked to join our Remind group by texting @lhsbattles to the number 81010.
Competitors must be members of the LHS DECA Chapter. Students will be required to attend practice sessions and study and take practice tests on their own time.

Lions Pride Program
Lions Pride Program provides after-school enrichment and family engagement activities. It is offered Monday-Friday 3:15-5:30pm. STEM Activity, English tutoring, Math tutoring, Step-Team and Gaming are a few of the activities offered. Space is limited and sign-up is required.
