UCE Weekly Newsletter

Greetings, UCE Families and Friends,

This week was short, but jam-packed!

I want to thank all of our families who came out yesterday for our parent-teacher conferences. Part of what makes UCE so special are the partnerships between our school and our families. Our partnership with you is so essential and we are grateful for it!

When we return next week, we will have a "just for fun" spirit week. See the graphic below in this newsletter for details.

There is NO SCHOOL Thursday and Friday, so we will see our Bearcats back at school on Monday, October 26th. Enjoy this long weekend!

You are loved at UCE,

Mrs. Klein

We have one of my very favorite celebrations coming up on November 11th- our annual Veterans Day breakfast and program, put on by our UCE PTO! Information has already gone out asking for anyone interested in signing a family member who is a veteran up to come to our school for breakfast from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by our Veterans Day program at 10:00 until 10:30.

To be able to do this, we will need donations of food/drinks/items and volunteers. If you are interested and able, please click the button below. This is such a wonderful way to honor those who have sacrificed so much for us and our country!

Our UCE Student Council is hosting a "just for fun" spirit week October 27-31. Students are not going to be wearing costumes to school for their fall parties (they had that opportunity to do this at our Fall Fest), but they can do the spirit week all week. There are no donations to participate- it is just for fun!

Mrs. Betz's Pre-K students brought the story of Stone Soup to life! After reading the classic tale, students worked together to make their very own stone soup, practicing teamwork and learning through hands-on fun. It was a fun, delicious lesson that showed how wonderful things can happen when we work together!
