Fine ArtsWeekly UpdateWeek of 5/11-5/15

Band 7- Ms. Tokos

This week in 7th grade band, students were expected to practice their instrument each day. Their goal was to submit check-offs either through Smartmusic or by making a video. All Check-offs were due by Thursday, May 14th. Students should continue to check in to Google Classroom each day for a suggested Practice Agenda. If students or parents have any questions, the best way to contact me is through email at tokos.emily@wgcloud.org.

Band 8- Mr. Stevison

This week in 8th Grade Band, students were expected to keep practicing their instrument. Each day in google classroom, there is a suggested practice assignment including warm-ups. This past week, students either had to submit a checkoff or complete the Key Signature quiz on google classroom.

Next week, students should continue practicing their instruments and checking in on google classroom daily. They also have the option to attend the Zoom band classes if they need some help with anything. If students or parents have any questions, the best way to contact me is through email at stevison.joe@wgcloud.org.

Choir 7/8- Mrs. Gado

This week, we focused on Compound Meter and seeing if we could identify Simple vs Compound meter in familiar music. Moving into our last week, I’d like to keep listening to music and talking about it and determining meter….but more than that, coming together again to connect. I’d love to see you all before the official summer!

Keep singing. Keep dancing. Keep Creating. I miss you terribly! Hope to see you at the Zooms.

Hello everyone! As we go into the very last week of school, please try and complete as many assignments as possible, especially if you have not posted anything in the past couple weeks. I would also love to see everyone at our last class zoom meeting on Wednesday, May 20th to celebrate the end of the year! We can play a fun game and enjoy being “together” for the last time this school year. Hope to see you then!

*Violin and viola students - if you left your instrument in your orchestra locker, make sure you stop by the orchestra room to pick it up during your assigned locker clean-out time.*
