Thank you students and families for your support during a difficult transition for all schools. Creating an environment to support both online and in-person learners simultaneously has been an adventure and I am proud of the work of our teachers, staff, and students. This month we look at the value of integrity. Integrity means choosing to be truthful in whatever you say and do. It sounds good in theory, but not always easy to do.

School pictures for freshmen, sophomores and juniors will be taken on the morning of October 8th. Please make sure to come to school prepared to take your photo for the yearbook! Online learners will take their photos from 7:00-7:30 in the high school gym. All on-campus learners will take their photos beginning in 1st period.

Senior portraits will be taken on the morning of November 19th. Seniors, please come to school prepared to take your photos! Online senior learners will take their photos from 7:00-7:30 in the high school gym. All on-campus senior learners will take their photos beginning in second period.

Red Ribbon Week will be October 26th-October 30th.

Since its beginning in 1985, the Red Ribbon has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. In response to the murder of DEA Agent Enrique Camarena, parents and youth in communities across the country began wearing Red Ribbons as a symbol of their commitment to raise awareness of the killing and destruction caused by drugs in America.

Please remember that students must select theme day clothing that would be allowed according to dress code standards.

Doors to the high school open at 7:15 AM. Students are not allowed in the building before that time unless they are assigned a morning detention or have a scheduled practice. Upon entering the building, all students will report to the cafeteria until we meet the reduced capacity limit. At that time, students will be released to their first period class.

If you are attending tutorial in the AM, you may go directly to the teachers classroom for tutorials beginning at 7:15 AM.

School ends at 3:15 PM. All students must be picked up by 3:30 PM. If a student has a detention or night school, they must be picked up upon dismissal. Night school ends at 6:15 PM and detentions end at 3:50 PM. Please ensure that you are prompt in picking up your student.

Tickets for all home football and volleyball games may be purchased online using the link below. Due to UIL guidelines, only a limited number of tickets will be sold for each home contest. Masks are required for entry. If you purchased as season pass for volleyball, please remember that you must show the pass to the gate worker in order to enter the game.

If you want your student to change their mode of instruction for the 2nd-9 weeks, please email Mrs. Martin or Mr. Hodges. The deadline to request the instructional change is October 14th. The assistant principal can provide more information and the form that will need to be completed.
