National Hispanic Heritage Month began on September 15th. Celebrate the month with great books and other resources curated by library programs. See links below for more information:
- Deal Library LibGuide - Here you can find curated resources devoted to Hispanic Heritage Month as well as a number of other great resources and links from Mr. Reichlen and DCPS Library Programs!
- SORA Hispanic Heritage Month Featured Collection - Here students can access e-books and audiobooks celebrating Hispanic writers, illustrators, and the culture! Students can always access SORA directly from Clever for access to 1000's of high quality e-books and audiobooks.

Student Orientations and Book Checkouts
All Deal students have been visiting the library during the month of September. They have all met Mr. Reichlen, learned about great opportunities to explore in the library, and checked out books!
Students can keep track of the books they checked out, search for new physical books, e-books, and audiobooks with the Clever app, Destiny Discover. Destiny Discover is the student friendly interface for the school's library catalog. Together with SORA, Destiny Discover offers students access to the library catalog whenever they are online!
Access is Simple!
- Login to Clever
- Scroll down or use the side navigation to access the section "Library Resources".
- Click on the Icon for Destiny Discover (pictured on the right).
- When logged in, Students can:
- Search for new physical books to place on hold or check out audio and e-books.
- Click on their profile to see what they have checked out and see when items are due.
- Post book reviews and track personal reading goals.
- Create a public profile and organize their own book collections and wish lists!
