Emerson Singers, Dancers, & Actors Jan. 31 - Feb. 7, 2025
What a wonderful week! I had the opportunity to see a beautiful performance of "Les Mis, the School Edition" featuring our alumni, Alyssa Moriello last Saturday in Schaumburg. She has two more performances, tonight and tomorrow. See below for more information. On Monday evening, we have an online Vocal Parents Meeting to discuss volunteer needs for the musical. Later this week, our band students will be performing at the Band Solo & Ensemble Night.
In support of our many Band musical cast members
the Leads' Rehearsal will be from 3:00 - 4:00 on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6.
On Friday, February 7, paint crew will continue to paint until 6:00. Parents are most welcome to join us in painting the sets.
Starting Tuesday, February 18, we need Parent Volunteers to supervise the Backstage Hallway and Costume Racks at each rehearsal, Sign-Up below!
The Maine East Production of "Matilda," featuring some of our middle school students, is rapidly approaching. Get your tickets soon!

Alyssa Moriello is an incredible "Cosette"
in the Schaumburg on Stage Production of Les Mis. Last year at Emerson, she starred in "Mary Poppins Jr" and "Legally Blonde Jr."
She was also a lead in "Newsies Jr," and
"Beauty and the Beast Jr" at Emerson.
Her lengthy list of credits also includes the role of "Regina George" in Mean Girls Jr in Wilmette.

The All School Musical is a student chaired production.
Students lead and work all of the crews: Choreography, Costumes, Dance Captains, Hair & Make-up, Lights, Prop Construction, Publicity, Set Construction, Sound, and Stage.
All students who audition for the musical are cast!
Sign-Ups for auditions and the crews will be in the October newsletters.
Musical 2025 will be our 18th Musical!
