Community Service Opportunity

Stayton Rotary is looking for volunteers to help with their annual "Reds, Whites, and Brews" fundraising auction on Saturday April 2, 2022 at Santiam Golf Course.

Students need to be available from 4:15 p.m. until about 9:00 p.m. They will help by busing tables, selling raffle tickets, helping with the silent auction, greeting at the door, helping in the kitchen, and other similar activities.

Students who have helped in the past say it is a fun event, and they get fed pizza, too!

Up to 18 students are needed. If interested, contact Kelly Fields.

Juniors...what's up? Things to do now, PLUS scholarships for you!

Things are opening up! This spring and summer will be good opportunities to visit college campuses. If you are considering the SAT or ACT, you should also schedule that. Remember that the majority of schools do NOT require these tests now, but some still do, and some want them for scholarship consideration. Do some research to decide if this is something you might need.

One of the most important things you can do is keep your GPA up. This semester and fall of 2022 are the last chances for you to impact your GPA before college admissions...for good or bad.

This is also a good time to start thinking about career options or ideas, to ask questions of people doing those jobs, and to take CTE related classes as you prepare to forecast for next year.

Junior SCHOLARSHIPS

While most are for seniors, there are some that are for "any high school student" and some that are specifically for 11th graders. If you want to get started, here is a pretty good list (there are others):
