Mill Valley Weekly
September 4th, 2025
Hello Mill Valley Families,
School is back in session, and the energy in the hallways is incredible! This year, we're making every Friday a Spirit Day, so be sure to show your Mill Valley and Muskego pride! Wear your favorite Mill Valley shirt, Warrior gear or red, black and white. If you're looking for new gear, NEW Spirit Wear will be coming soon! Watch for ordering details at the end of this month!
In Partnership,
Allyce Harris
Mill Valley Principal
🐾 Friday Paw Prints 🐾
Beginning next Friday, we will start announcing our PAW PRINT WINNERS from each grade level and feature their picture in the Mill Valley Weekly! These students are recognized by staff throughout the building, (teachers, custodians, educational assistants, etc) as well as their bus drivers for demonstrating being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE and KIND. Each student will receive a PAW PRINT to proudly display on their locker.
🏆 Recess Royalty 🏆
Another area we recognize students for going above and beyond, being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE and KIND, is at recess. These students are recognized by our Educational Assistants and will receive a certificate to take home, a purple ribbon for their locker and have their picture hung on our Recess Royalty Bulletin Board!

Help Your Child Succeed in School:
Build the Habit of Good Attendance Early
Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school and themselves. Start building this habit in kindergarten so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Eventually good attendance will be a skill that will help them succeed in high school, college and beyond!
- Starting in preschool and kindergarten, too many absences can cause children to fall behind in school.
- Missing 10%, or about 2 days each month over the course of a school year, can make it harder to learn to read.
- Students can still fall behind if they miss just one or two days every few weeks.
- Being late to school may lead to poor attendance.
- Absences and tardiness can affect the whole classroom if the teacher has to slow down learning to help children catch up.
Change in Dismissal...
If you need to make a change in your student's regular dismissal plan, please fill out the yellow Note from Home and send it to school with your child. If the change is last minute or same day, please call the office, 262-971-1830, so we can get the message to your child's teacher.
To ensure your student has a smooth dismissal,
Please update BOTH Champions and the Mill Valley Office
if there is a change in dismissal plan
