A Standing Ovation for Centennial Fine Arts Week!
What a spectacular week of music and community! From April 13 - April 16, the Centennial School District came together to celebrate the incredible creativity and dedication of our student musicians during Fine Arts Week. The talent on display was truly inspiring as students took the stage for Orchestra Night, Jazz Night, and Chorus Night. It was a wonderful opportunity for our community to appreciate the arts and support the hard work of these young musicians. We wrapped up this amazing week last night with Band Night at William Tennent High School. Thank you to everyone who attended, listened, and cheered on our students!
The Centennial School District is thrilled to announce that Log College Nurse, Amanda Palo, has been named a 2026 PASNAP School Nurse of Excellence! This prestigious award from the Pennsylvania Association of School Nurses and Practitioners recognizes her exceptional dedication to student health, safety, and well-being. Nurse Palo goes above and beyond every single day to ensure our students are cared for, supported, and ready to learn. Please join us in congratulating her on this incredibly well-deserved statewide recognition!
Wawa Goes Above and Beyond for WTHS Student!
William Tennent High School student, Nate, just had his Saturday Wawa tradition taken to the next level! A massive thank you to the amazing team at Wawa for creating a memorable and fun experience for him. It is absolutely wonderful to see our local community members stepping up to make our students smile.
Willow Dale's Silver Spoon Winners
Congratulations to Mrs. DeFortuna's and Mrs. McMaster's class on winning the Silver Spoon.
One of our initiatives through Schoolwide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) is positive behavior in the lunchroom.
Mrs. DeFortuna's and Mrs. McMaster's classes have shown their PAWSOME behavior for the month of April.
They were awarded with beautifully decorated tables, lunch delivered by Mr. Oswald, and a HUGE Silver Spoon to be held in the class for the month.
Centennial School District Receives Over $15,000 from GIANT Partnership!
From January 1 through March 31, shoppers had the opportunity to round up their purchase at the register at the GIANT stores in Warminster and Southampton to support the Centennial School District’s efforts to combat childhood hunger.
The Centennial School District is incredibly proud to announce that through this initiative we have raised over $15,000, made possible through this local community partnership aimed at supporting students and families of our school district.
GIANT partners with many school districts to support students facing food insecurity. Thanks to the generosity of our community at local GIANT markets, we are able to use these funds directly to assist in paying down student meal debt.
“The Giant Company is a valued partner of the Centennial School District, consistently reaching out to support our efforts in addressing food insecurity within our schools and our community.” said Lori Deni, Centennial Food and Nutrition Manager.

Attendance and Truancy Updates
The new state law, Pennsylvania Act 47 of 2025, has made updates to the Public School Code regarding student attendance and truancy. The Act introduces updated attendance rules, especially for cyber charter schools, by defining how they must track attendance for both live (synchronous) and self-paced (asynchronous) instruction. The law also strengthens truancy procedures, which now include new requirements for notices to parents, mandatory use of a School Attendance Improvement Plan (SAIP) for habitually truant students, and a restriction on habitually truant students transferring to a cyber charter school without a judge's approval.
Although Act 47 does not necessitate a change to the Centennial School Board Attendance Policy (CSD School Board Policy 204), this is an ideal opportunity to review important terminology and procedures with regard to student attendance.
General Attendance Information:
In CSD, all students must attend school every day unless they have a lawful (excused) reason for being absent. “Truant” or “truancy” is the legal word to describe a student who is absent from school without lawful permission.

Get ready to look back on an unforgettable weekend of talent and energy as our High School musical, Mean Girls, took the stage on March 27th and 28th! From start to finish, the show delivered an incredible mix of humor, music, and standout performances that had the audience wanting more.
A huge congratulations goes out to the talented cast who brought the story to life, including Madison Picozzi ‘26 as Cady Heron, Molly Green ‘26 as Regina George, and Omi Mosquera ‘27 as Gretchen Wieners. The dynamic duo of Michael Betschner ‘27 as Damian Hubbard and Kalena Viera ‘26 as Janis Sarkisian added both humor and heart, while Nadine Reale ‘27 as Karen Smith kept the crowd laughing throughout the night. Jack Tittelmayer '28 shined as Aaron Samuels, with Ezra Galrom ‘28 bringing great energy to the role of Kevin G. Jillian Twigg '26 as Mrs. George, Grace Riker ‘26 as Ms. Norbury and Bryan Sadowski ‘26 as Mr. Duvall rounded out the lead cast with strong and memorable performances. Special thanks to the Seniors who took their final bow on the WTHS Stage, including cast members: Mariela Karlick, Maya Simononis, Donny Rank, Lex DiPaolo, Madison Kellogg, Caroline Moritz, Rylee Small, Marilyn McNamee.
Shoutout to the awesome members of the orchestra, whose live music really brought the show to life. Their playing added so much energy to every number and made both the big moments and the funny ones even better. Senior orchestra members: Grace Sabara, Paige Mattis, Ava Weissman, Haley Wyman, and Taylor Greiner.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the dedicated crew working behind the scenes, whose hard work ensured every scene change, lighting cue, and musical moment ran smoothly. Their effort helped turn an already great performance into a truly polished production.
A special congratulations and thank you goes out to directors Mrs. Hoban, Mrs. McCaffery, and Mr. Abrahamson. Their guidance, creativity, and countless hours of work played a huge role in bringing this production to life and making it such a success.
Overall, the show was a huge success and a testament to the creativity and commitment of everyone involved. It was clear that months of preparation paid off, and the result was a fun-filled, high-energy production that will be remembered by all who attended. Congratulations again to the entire cast and crew on an amazing show!
