Dear Fremont Lincoln families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! We hope you are enjoying the summer, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone back at school. Included in this letter is information that will be helpful to you and your child in preparing for the first day of school.
Lincoln Early Learning Center houses the preschool programs for three different school districts: Fremont District 79, Hawthorn District 73 and Mundelein District 75 and serves students from all of three districts in its Tri-District Structured Learning Classroom. This class is taught by a Hawthorn teacher with related services provided by staff from all three districts.
During the school year, one Tri-District Newsletter will be sent to all Lincoln Families on Fridays. The newsletter will have building-specific information at the top, followed by a section for each individual district's information and the Tri-District classroom.
The 2026-2027 school year already promises to be a great one! Everyone at Fremont District 79 is looking forward to a positive and successful year of learning. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the upcoming school year, please feel free to contact us.
We look forward to seeing you and your child soon!
Go Lincoln Lions - Future Wildcats!
Sincerely,
Katie O’Brien
Principal, Lincoln Early Learning Center

All parents/guardians and their students should enter through the main entrance at Door #1. Staff will assist in finding your child’s classroom.
A couple of quick notes as you join us:
A Behind-the-Scenes Peek: Our classrooms are currently works in progress! We’re actively setting up and tailoring the room, so think of today as a fun sneak peek. Everything will be fully polished and ready for our first official day.
Focusing on the Kids: Today is designed entirely for your child to get comfortable with their new environment and peers. To keep their experience front and center, this event is brief and social.
We look forward to diving deep into your child's individual needs and goals during our dedicated one-on-one conferences later this term.
Office Hours and Reporting Absences
School office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If your child will be absent from school, please use the Report an Absence form on the website or call the front office at 847-949-2720. Please include any symptoms your child may be experiencing if they are absent because of an illness.
Attendance Matters
Strong attendance habits begin on day one. When students are here consistently and on time, they benefit from direct instruction, collaboration with peers, and meaningful relationships with teachers. Please help us by encouraging your child to be present and ready to learn each day—every day truly counts.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Please review the Parent Pick Up and Drop off procedures before the start of the school year. These procedures are important for the safety of students, staff, and families.
Change in Dismissal
Please contact América Lanuza (lanuzaa@hawthorn73.org) or Danielle Garcia (dgarcia@d75.org) at the Lincoln Front Office (847-949-2720) if there are any end-of-day changes throughout the school year. Teachers may not always be able to pick up their phone or check email throughout the day, so it would be best to call the front office with any changes. América and Danielle will relay any changes to the classroom teacher after you contact them. Please contact the main office by 10:00 a.m for the morning session and 2:00 p.m. for the afternoon session for any changes regarding a child's dismissal procedures.
My Ride K-12 Bus Tracking App
The My Ride K-12 mobile app allows parents and guardians to stay connected with their student’s transportation schedule. Through the use of GPS technology, the app provides updates to the pick-up and drop-off times based on the bus location.
To learn how to download the app, create your account, and link your student’s information, please visit our Transportation webpage.
Photo Opt-Out Form
Parents and guardians who DO NOT want their child’s photograph and/or student work published need to complete this form and return it to their school's front office within your student’s first 5 days of school attendance. A letter submitted from the previous year will not carry over.
