Overwhelmed?
"There is no problem that cannot be solved."
~ Francois Viete
Now that the quarter is officially over, are you still feeling overwhelmed? Well, there is no problem that cannot be solved, however, sometimes we need to ask for help. If you are not happy with a grade in a class find out how to fix it. If you need help talking to a teacher or finding extra support ask me.
College applications are a work in progress, so make sure you spend time on those to make sure that you can submit them on time. FAFSA is open and needs to be submitted for graduating students as soon as possible. There are Cash 4 College nights held virtually and in person all over the county if you need assistance. Please see those below.
SAT ran smoothly, thank you students for being prepared. The ACT is coming up on the 23rd.
Our last prospective students and families night is next week and several middle school outreach visits are happening this month as well. It's been a busy month but nothing I can't handle especially when I ask for help!
Our homecoming rally is at the end of the month (on the 24th), how very exciting! Homecoming tickets go on sale on Monday, get ready to get your groove on, on the 25th of this month.
The Spring 2026 application is now open for the Santa Rosa Junior College. If you plan on taking a JC class in the Spring, please fill out the application and dual enrollment form as soon as possible so you will be ready on December 2nd at 7am to register. The classes for Spring aren't out yet, however, so stay tuned for those in early November.
I have started my Freshmen Group Meets during advisory. I have also created a Google Classroom with resources and announcements...ask your students if they have joined yet.
My newsletters are to inform parents mostly, but there will also be information for students. Some information carries over each week, but always look for the new stuff.
I am very easy to get ahold of and respond pretty quickly. If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, clarification, or concerns.
See below for friendly reminders: Important Dates, Mental Health Tips/Resources, SRJC information, Scholarship opportunities, and volunteer opportunities.

UC Davis Resources
The representative that came to our college/career fair wanted me to pass along these resources to all the students:
- Our Find My Advisor tool allows students to see all of my recruitment events and also provides a way for them to contact me directly. I generally avoid giving out my direct email address to students; this FMA inbox allows me to filter inquiries separately.
- This is our digital viewbook for the year.
- Contact Undergraduate Admissions
- First-Year Admission
Students can view our upcoming webinars below; they’ll need to register for the event in order to receive the Zoom link to attend.

Mental Health Tip!
Did you know?
Come talk to me about anything, I will talk you through things, listen, come up with strategies to deal with anxiety, etc, and/or send you to some more in depth support that we have on campus this year!
Be a tourist in your own town. Often times people only explore attractions on trips, but you may be surprised by what cool things are in your own "backyard".
