Message from the Principal Message from the Principal

Hello Central Crossing Students and Families,

I hope you're enjoying a restful and fun summer! We’re already looking forward to welcoming everyone back this fall — especially the Class of 2029! We’re excited to have you join the Comet family.

Each week during the school year, we send out our CCHS Weekly Update every Friday to keep you informed with important announcements, upcoming events, and highlights from around the building. During the summer months, you’ll receive one newsletter per month to help you prepare for the start of the year.

Be sure to check your email regularly so you don’t miss out on anything. We’re looking forward to another great year at Central Crossing!

Go Comets!

Empowering Young Women: Join ROX to Build Leadership Skills Empowering Young Women: Join ROX to Build Leadership Skills

Is your teenage girl interested in strengthening her leadership skills? ROX may be for her! ROX stands for Ruling Our Experiences and is a research-based program for girls. The program is a 20-week curriculum during school delivered by trained and licensed school counselors that teaches girls to:

  • Discover their unique strengths
  • Build powerful friendships
  • Unlock the leadership potential they already have
  • Strengthen their voice
  • Master stress-busting techniques

Please complete this survey if you or your CCHS girl is interested. Each girl must have a study hall all year to be able to participate because the group meets once a week during study hall. CCHS can cover the cost for a limited number of girls to participate, so there is no charge for the families.

Capitol Hill Challenge - Comets Shine! Capitol Hill Challenge - Comets Shine!

Congratulations to Central Crossing students Josh Ramirez, Hassan Saleh, Micah Roberts, and Kayden Deng for placing in the Top 10 nationwide in the 2025 Capitol Hill Challenge—a prestigious 14-week stock market simulation sponsored by the SIFMA Foundation.

As part of the recognition, these students from Ms. Flint’s Financial Algebra class traveled to Washington, D.C., where they had the opportunity to:

  • Tour the Capitol (including the Speaker’s Balcony!)

  • Meet with Congressman Mike Carey

  • Attend a House Ways and Means Committee hearing

  • Visit two financial firms and explore careers in finance

  • Explore the International Spy Museum

It was an unforgettable experience filled with learning, leadership, and future career inspiration. We’re proud of these Comets for representing Central Crossing on a national stage!
