Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
We had a chance to celebrate several important accomplishments of our BHS students this week! Our Esports team participated in the OHSAA Regional Competition as the first Batavia High School team ever, our Mock Trial program is sending a team to state for the first time since 2005, and our DECA students competed at the state level with several students qualifying for Nationals in April. It’s a fun time to be a part of Batavia High School and to support all of our talented young people!
On Thursday, we had the opportunity to provide a variety of learning opportunities for all students in grades 9-12. Students enjoyed college visits, participated in practice ACT sessions, took the ACT free of charge, and heard from a variety of business professionals in the Senior only session. We wish to extend a special thanks to The Clermont County Chamber of Commerce for organizing the Speed Mentoring session. Our seniors enjoyed this rich experience.
I know it’s hard to believe, but next week is the final week of the third quarter. Please review Progress Book with your students to help support them as they finish strong.
We hope you have a great weekend, and we look forward to welcoming our students back on Monday, March 2nd!
In service to our Bulldogs.

Hello, Families.
I want to give thanks to all of the students making our Thursday ACT Day a great success! Also, thank you to all of the seniors for their commitment to the morning activities and community service.
As we approach the spring sports’ season, please help me remind student drivers to not access the parking lot close to the high school until 2:25pm. The drivers have been doing a much better job not crossing during this busy traffic time.
Have a nice weekend.
Joe Moorehead, Dean of Students

The FAFSA Application is Open!!!!
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for students entering or attending college for the 2026-27 academic year is up and running!
