A Note from Mrs. Harris A Note from Mrs. Harris

Welcome to October, Falcon Families!

It is hard to believe that October is already here! We have had a wonderful start to the school year, and we are looking forward to a month filled with fun activities, exciting events, and continued learning at Ford Elementary!

October also marks the end of our first grading period. This is a great time for families to check in on their child's academic progress. We encourage you to review your child's grades, celebrate their successes, and look at how they are progressing toward grade-level expectations and/or their individual learning goals. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's teacher. We want to work together to ensure every Falcon is growing and achieving success!

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We have so much to look forward to this month, and we can't wait to make more wonderful memories with our Falcons!

Let's make October a great month of learning, growing, and SOARing!

Board Games Wanted! Let's Play and Learn! Board Games Wanted! Let's Play and Learn!

We are looking for donations of new or gently used board games and card games for our Falcons! These games will be used during indoor recess and as special classroom incentives.

Playing games is not just fun—it also helps students develop important social skills such as taking turns, following rules, working together, problem-solving, and learning how to win and lose graciously. These are valuable life skills that help our Falcons grow both inside and outside the classroom!

If you have any games at home that your family no longer uses or would like to donate a new game, we would greatly appreciate your generosity! Please make sure all donated games are age-appropriate and have all their pieces.

Thank you for helping us make learning and playtime fun for our Falcons!

Here is how our grade levels are doing on their attendance. Every day that the grade level has at least 95% of attendance they will get a box colored in. Once they reach 10 the grade level will get a reward. Keep working hard on coming to school!

Referral requests are now open for Conroe Independent School District Gifted and Talented program. Although the testing will not take place until late January, referral requests are accepted at this time. Referral requests can be made by the parents and/or campus staff. It is recommended that parents of 2nd grade students wait until CogAT scores have arrived before nominating their child because CogAT scores are part of the GT assessment. If you are interested in referring your child, you may want to discuss this with your child’s teacher. Referrals will be accepted until December 18, 2026. You may request a referral form from the front office or the Assistant Principal.
