A. Crossing Guard Locations
That the Board of Education approve the crossing guard locations as presented for the 2025-26 school year.
Requests for crossing guard placements are considered on an annual basis, approved by the Board of Education, and set for the entire school year. Every year, the District collects data on the number of students and vehicles using intersections where crossing guards are placed. The District also meets with Village Representatives on this topic. Student and vehicular traffic counts continue to support many of the current crossing guard locations.
Crossing guards are funded through monies received from the Village of Arlington Heights.
As approved at last month's meeting, we have contracted with Andy Frain to provide crossing guard services for the Belmont/Thomas location and the Dwyer/Grove location for the 25/26 school year based on an inability to fill these positions.
