Norwegian Cruise Line is charting a bold course into the future, and we’re thrilled to share the highlights with you. From the stunning new Prima and Prima Plus Class ships—bringing more space, refined luxury, and first-of-their-kind experiences—to a complete reimagining of their private island, Great Stirrup Cay, NCL is redefining what it means to cruise in style. Whether you're dreaming of thrilling onboard adventures or serene island escapes, there's never been a better time to plan your next voyage with Norwegian.

This past summer, I sailed on Norwegian Prima for an unforgettable 10-night journey from Iceland to England. Even though we were cruising through the cooler Northern Atlantic, the ship offered plenty to enjoy on our sea days. From relaxing in my spacious, beautifully designed stateroom to indulging in standout meals—like fresh seafood at Palomar and global bites at Indulge Food Hall—every moment felt elevated. And to my surprise, the mini-golf and go-kart track turned out to be one of the most fun experiences on the ship! Prima truly delivered a unique and memorable cruise experience.

Prima Class ships showcase a sleek, modern aesthetic with upscale finishes, open-air walkways, and a boutique hotel feel at sea. Think elegant lounges, stylish staterooms, and jaw-dropping artwork around every corner. With fewer guests and more room to roam, Prima Class offers the highest staffing levels and space ratio of any new cruise ship in a contemporary line. That means less crowding, shorter lines, and a more relaxing onboard experience. From the indulgent Haven enclave with private pools and dedicated concierges to unique attractions like the Indulge Food Hall, Ocean Boulevard’s infinity pools, and the thrilling Drop and Rush slides, Prima Class delivers next-level luxury, dining, and entertainment.

Norwegian’s Prima Plus Class takes everything guests love about the Prima ships and makes it even better. These ships are about 10% larger, offering more room to relax, larger pool decks, expanded lounges, and improved guest-to-space ratios. Outdoor areas like Ocean Boulevard are wider and more refined, while the onboard attractions get a thrilling boost—Norwegian Aqua debuts the world’s first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide at sea. Accommodations are upgraded too, with more Haven suites, enhanced ocean-facing rooms, and private luxury spaces. Prima Plus also leads in sustainability with methanol-ready technology and smarter energy systems. Add in new specialty dining options and a larger Indulge Food Hall, and you’ve got a class of ship that delivers more of everything—space, style, and innovation.

If you’re looking to experience the latest in cruise innovation, Norwegian Aqua and the upcoming Norwegian Luna should be on your radar!

Aqua, debuting in April 2025, will sail from Port Canaveral with Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, and will feature first-of-its-kind attractions like the Aqua Slidecoaster.

Luna, launching in 2026, will sail a variety of itineraries—expected to include Caribbean and Mediterranean routes—offering a fresh take on spacious design and immersive onboard experiences.

Both ships are part of Norwegian’s new Prima Plus Class, designed for more space, better flow, and elevated comfort—making them ideal choices for travelers who want a next-level cruise experience.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is undertaking a significant transformation of its private Bahamian island, Great Stirrup Cay, with a series of enhancements set to debut in the fourth quarter of 2025. As a part of NCL's commitment to delivering exceptional vacation experiences, these upgrades aim to elevate the guest experience and accommodate increasing numbers of visitors. With these developments, Great Stirrup Cay is poised to become an even more sought-after destination for cruisers seeking both adventure and relaxation.

A new pier capable of accommodating two large vessels simultaneously is under construction. This development will eliminate the need for tendering, allowing for more reliable and efficient access to the island.

Expansive Pool Area:

An oversized heated pool will be introduced, featuring a swim-up bar, a family-friendly splash zone, and surrounding cabanas. This area is designed to be a central hub for relaxation and entertainment.

Island-Wide Tram System:

To facilitate easy movement across the island, an island-wide tram system will be implemented, ensuring guests can effortlessly explore all that Great Stirrup Cay has to offer.

Welcome Center:

A newly constructed welcome center will greet guests upon arrival, providing information and assistance to enhance their island experience.

Vibe Beach Club:

The adults-only Vibe Beach Club will make its shoreside debut, offering private cabanas, loungers, and an exclusive atmosphere for relaxation.

Horizon Park:

Horizon Park, a recreational area featuring lawn games and spaces for family gatherings, will be introduced, bringing popular onboard activities to the island setting.
