Dear Families and Caregivers,

I am excited to introduce myself as the new Early Childhood Administrator at the Fridley Community Center. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of this learning community and I look forward to creating strong partnerships with you as we work together to support the growth and development of your child(ren).

I’ve worked in education for over 20 years, including 11 years as an administrator. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about creating a nurturing and engaging environment where children can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. I believe early childhood education is one of the most pivotal stages in a child’s development, and I am committed to ensuring every child feels valued, supported and inspired to explore their unique potential.

Our team of educators understands the importance and impact of partnering with parents and caregivers. We welcome your insight and feedback as we work together to create a positive and enriching experience for your child(ren).

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s early learning journey. I’m looking forward to an exciting rest of the year filled with growth, discovery and success.

Sincerely,

Afolabi Runsewe

Problem Solving

The Fridley Preschool has entered into a 5-year training program called The Pyramid Model. The Pyramid Model trains all staff in best practices related to child development in ages birth to 5. Research shows that children who develop strong problem-solving abilities tend to be more successful in school and build better relationships with their peers. We encourage you to help your child practice these skills at home, as teaching them how to solve problems will empower them for a lifetime of success. Together, we can help your child build confidence and become a skilled problem solver!
