Good Afternoon Jaguar Nation!

We had a great week! Congratulations to all of our B and C Jag Volleyball teams for advancing to the Championship games in their tournaments last weekend. An extra congratulations goes to our 7th B, 7th C, and 8th C teams for bringing home 1st place trophies!

Jag Football finished their season strong in the playoff game against Dowell, with both our 7th and 8th grade teams earning wins to cap off a great season.

Our district Cross Country teams also ended on a high note at the district meet, with several of our students finishing in the top 10!

A big congratulations to Ms. Anticona’s UIL Math team for their incredible performance in a recent virtual tournament! Nearly 400 students from across Texas submitted results, and Jones Middle School placed 2nd overall in math and 1st among 6A middle schools! Even more impressive, 17 Jones students ranked in the top 50 overall!

As our fall sports wrap up, we now transition into winter sports—basketball and wrestling—while our fine arts students are preparing for upcoming solo festivals with their individual performance pieces. Check out our fall wrap up in our Jag Nation News Broadcast, and a reminder that 8th grade Ad purchases are due by next Friday.

This week, our teachers had the opportunity to observe one another in action—sharing strategies, ideas, and takeaways to strengthen instruction across our campus. Our focus this week was small group instruction for all students.
Collaboration and continuous learning are at the heart of what we do at Jones, and our teachers continue to model what it means to learn, grow, and empower together!
