Falcon Update
Heritage Middle School-Week of April 6th
Letter from the Principal
Dear HMS Families,
We hope everyone had a great Spring Break. We are excited to welcome students back on Tuesday, April 7th.
Registration for the 2026–2027 school year is now open, and we encourage families to begin the process as soon as possible. Please review the flyer below for required registration documents and visit our registration website to begin the process.
8th graders will be learning more about the end of the year field trips, promotion, payments and timelines after lunch on Tuesday. We will then also be hosting families to review the same packet with us on Tuesday, April 7th at 5:00 PM in the MPR.
We will be hosting our Spring Dance which will be the last one of the year on Friday, April 10th. If you would like to help donate your time or items please sign up here:

We will also be hosting our Family Academic Celebration, Heritage Wonderland, on Thursday, April 16. Students helped choose the name, and we’re excited to bring it to life! There will be carnival games, amazing raffle prizes, and a wonderful opportunity to bring the Heritage community together. All the fun will take place at Heritage from 5:30–7:00 PM. We hope to see you there for this WONDERful event!
We are also excited to announce our April attendance incentive which was recommended by members of Student Leadership. Between April 7th and April 30th students may miss only one day to enjoy ice cream and time with friends on Friday, May 1st.
Thank you,
Michelle Hauer

District 100 strives to ensure that all students and families feel safe, supported, and valued in our school communities. Fostering an inclusive and welcoming school environment is deeply ingrained in the culture of our district and is fundamental to the success of our students. Resources to support families with immigration-related concerns are available on the family resources page on our website.

Please make sure to save your receipt and share with your student that you have purchased a yearbook for them. Heritage Spirt Wear
Purchase Friday spirit wear by using the link below.
PBIS Rewards
We utilize an app called PBIS Rewards where students earn points throughout the school year for being Responsible, Respectful and Safe. We have a PBIS store that we open for students to purchase fun items with their points. We also do raffles, field trips and a winter extravaganza that students can utilize their points throughout the year. We encourage students to use their points by the end of the year as they do not roll over!
StopIt
This week, students will download STOPit to their iPads. This is an online application that Heritage students have access to. This application allows students to anonymously report incidents of bullying, misconduct or general concerns. All reports go to the support service team and administration, which allows us to act quickly and in real time to any concerns or incidents.
Breakfast & Lunch
Students at Heritage receive free breakfast and lunch each day if they choose to participate, or they may bring their own lunch from home. As a healthy school, we ask that students do not bring pop, energy drinks, or large bags of snacks.
Breakfast will be served each morning before students head to their Period 1 class. Lunch will take place at the scheduled time according to the bell schedule, and students will also have the option to participate in recess during their lunchtime.
Below will be where you can find the menus for Heritage through OrganicLife.
