Jones Dolphins Make a SPLASH!
We hope you are enjoying the long weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, February 20th.
Last week was filled with so much LOVE & KINDNESS. Thank you to our entire community for helping our students feel seen and cared for during Kindness Week!
Last week we also received some BIG news, Jones Elementary has been recognized by the State of California as a Purple Star school! 44 schools across the state and 6 in San Diego Unified have been recognized for 2024! The Purple Star Award recipients are recognized as schools who are committed and best equipped to meet the needs of military connected students and their families. Congratulations Jones Dolphins!
This coming week is going to be an exciting one... On Friday we have the Jones Jog-A-Thon! This year's theme is Jone Dolphins have HEART! Wear your red, pink, and purple as we jog for a good cause, our school! Check out the video below for a glimpse into last year's Color Jog-A-Thon. This event is made possible by our PTA volunteers, thank you for all of your efforts behind the scenes to make the Jog-A-Thon happen for our community!

Jones Elementary PTA
Our Parent Teacher Association works with Jones Elementary to provide programs and support to benefit the students, their families, teachers, school administration and the community. Run entirely by volunteers, the PTA raises money to support enrichment programs, program instructors, educational assemblies and field trips, family events, and special classroom supplies.
As always, we need your membership, support and ability to volunteer. You can become a member using Totem, a respected membership management service. Please contact us with other thoughts on how we are doing, and your ideas on how you can become involved. We look forward to hearing from you.
