Good Afternoon!
Dear Families,
Thank you to everyone who participated in this week's PTO meeting. It was great to begin the conversation about next steps for our school. I appreciate your willingness to move forward together.
Wishing you and your family a great February vacation next week.

Stapleton Updates
New Staff!
When we return on Monday, February 24th we will have a few new faces in our building:
- Jessica Mandes, Assistant Principal: Jessica will spend her first week learning the "routines" of Stapleton and connecting with students, staff, and families. She will learn the arrival and dismissal procedures, spend time in classrooms, attend grade level collaborations and begin support staff and students with behavior response. In addition, there will be a brief parent coffee/meet and greet on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, from 8:25am-8:45am in the cafeteria. Thank you for welcoming Ms. Mandes into our school community!
- Carina Musto, SEMH Student Support Specialist: Carina will be working to support students and staff "on the left side" of the triangle (non-ED program students). She will be collaborating with other district SEMH team members and Stapleton support staff to identify needs and provide supports in real-time in our classrooms.
- Sulamita Metzker, Portuguese Native Language Tutor: Sulamita will start after February Vacation, and will be at Stapleton 19.5 hours/week.
- Michelle Biasella, Student Success Coach: Michelle's job description includes developing, facilitating, and monitoring systems and procedures to support all students in their social, emotional, and behavioral development. With an emphasis on building high-performing, collaborative teams, the Student Success Coach will provide direct training and support of all school staff to develop their capacity and ability to implement tiered interventions and supports to support diverse learning needs. The Student Success Coach will partner with our new Assistant Principal on tasks including MCAS coordination and operational procedures. During her first week, she will participate in AIM/SBLAT meetings, team collaborations, coach discussions regarding interventions, student support team meetings and more!
I will take pictures of Jessica, Carina, Sulamita and Michelle on Monday and send them out to everyone so we all know WHO they are!
