Half Day Retreat Series: St. Marianne Cope

Young adults are welcome to join Lisa Lickona, S.T.L., for an opportunity to go deeper into prayer with the saints. This half-day retreat will focus on St. Marianne Cope. The retreat will include a reflection on the saint's life and call to prayer, followed by time for quiet prayer and Adoration. An open invitation to lunch will follow immediately after. Young Adult Dating 101

Are you or do you know a young adult that would be enriched by knowing what to do before saying "I do"? Young adults (18-35 years old), dating or single, are invited to an evening where six proven strategies for how to prepare for marriage even before being engaged will be shared. The evening will be lead by best-selling author and national Catholic speaker, Jason Evert. Dating 101 is an "in-person only" gathering. The evening is being hosted by the St. Michael's Family Protection Institute in conjunction with the Diocese of Rochester's Office of Pastoral Services and St. Bernard's School of Theology & Ministry. Mountain in Your Home celebrates the joy and peaceful reflection of Mt. Irenaeus to your home and your local community. Rooted in the Franciscan tradition and close to St. Bonaventure University, the Mt. Irenaeus community is committed to simple, joyful, healing communion with God and all creation through contemplation and the communal experience of God’s justice, love and peace in contemporary everyday life. Mountain in Your Home is a time for prayerful reflection with neighbors and friends sharing the Franciscan values. Young adults want to know more about their pastor, the spiritual leader of their parish. Consider inviting him as a special guest to a pasta supper where he can talk to young adults for about 10 minutes about anything he wants. If he’s looking for ideas — he could tell the story of how he came to this parish or share his interests and hobbies outside of the parish. Then he can field questions from young adults — or even better, he can ask them how he can better serve their needs. Who knows — this might become a regular young adults event!
