Hi Everyone,
Grades closed on Friday, and on Monday we start the third quarter of the school year. Be sure to check PowerSchool for your student's report card on Friday, January 30th. This week's newsletter includes our latest round of Wicked God Wildcats as well as updates from the YMS library.

Wicked Good Wildcats
he YMS staff is continuing to recognize the good things students do at YMS! Staff use the YMS HOWLS of Respect, Responsibility, and Perseverance along with the School Theme of "Challenge Accepted" to guide them in what they are looking for in order to nominate a student. Students who are recognized are listed in weekly newsletters, on the TV in the cafeteria of YMS, during our morning announcements, and will earn entry to a prize announced at our quarterly assembly. They also receive a paper certificate from the adult who nominated them telling them why they were recognized. Please help us thank these students for bringing positivity to YMS!

Parking Lot Reminders
Thank you for your cooperation in helping our arrival and dismissal times run smoothly and safely. A quick reminder regarding afternoon pick-up:
Students in grades 7–8 should wait for parent pick-up at the far end of the bus lane (just past the main office).
Students in grades 5–6 should wait at the parking lot loop on the grass.
Families with students in both grade spans may choose which location works best.
For safety reasons, students should not wait for pick-up in the front entrance area.
