BIKE TO SCHOOL DAY
On Wednesday, May 3 Windom Elementary is encouraging "Bike to School Day." Students that live too far from school to bike, or that want to ride with an adult, can meet at the BARC parking lot. School staff members will lead students to school on their bikes from the BARC building (1012 5th Ave, Windom, MN 56101). Students can meet at the BARC parking lot at 7:30 AM to leave for school at 7:35 AM. Your student will need to ride bike home after school or be picked up.
School Sealant Program
Our school will be hosting the Minnesota School Sealant Program, where your child has the opportunity to receive FREE or reduced cost preventive dental services at school. A licensed dental professional will be offering sealants, cleanings, and fluoride varnishes to students.
The School Sealant Program will be happening on: Thursday, May 4th for grades K-5.
Consent Forms have been returned for a number of students that will participate in the program.
Elementary Track and Field Day - May 16
On Tuesday, May 16 starting at 12 PM the Elementary Track Meet will take place for grades 1 - 5. Please make sure your student is dressed for the weather and wearing shoes they can run in. Look for information coming home from the Phy Ed department very soon. GO EAGLES!!!
Summer Soaring Eagles
Windom Elementary will be hosting a four week Summer Soaring Eagles program! It will be a fun way to keep reading and math skills fresh in the minds of students. Students will practice skills at school and also get to go on field trips!
Your child is invited to attend Summer Soaring Eagles. In-town transportation will be provided for pick-up and drop-off. The dates will be Monday - Thursday, July 24th- August 17th, 2023 and will run from 8:30-11:30am. Lunch will be served for free from 11:30 - 12:00 PM before the bus leaves. It’s okay if your child can’t attend every day due to scheduled family events. Please contact the elementary school office at 831-6925 to sign up.
