CLF Schools Celebrate Coveted 2025 Star Ratings

[Laurel, MD, November 5, 2025] — The Maryland State Department of Education has released the 2025 Maryland Report Card, and we’re thrilled to share some incredible news! Chesapeake Science Point in Anne Arundel County earned a prestigious 5-star rating, while our Chesapeake Math and IT Public Charter Schools in Prince George’s County achieved a remarkable 4-star rating.

“I’m incredibly proud of our students and grateful to our educators and families for another year of strong results. CSP’s 5-Star rating and the 4-Star performance at CMIT North and CMIT South affirm the consistency, resilience, and high expectations that define our STEM-focused learning communities. These ratings are milestones, not finish lines. We will continue to expand access to advanced coursework, enhance career pathways, and deepen whole-child support so that every student is seen, challenged, and ready to thrive”, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Yilmaz Ak said.

CSP Public Charter (K-12) has consistently earned 5 Stars on the Maryland Report Card and remains one of the 15 schools in AACPS to earn the state’s highest rating.

CMIT North Public Charter (K-12) and CMIT South Public Charter (K-12) are two of the thirty-one schools in Prince George’s County to earn a 4 Star Rating.

The Chesapeake Lighthouse Foundation proudly invites our community, parents, and stakeholders to join us in celebrating this remarkable achievement!

These outstanding results reflect our unwavering commitment to excellence and our shared dedication to fostering learning environments where every student is empowered to thrive academically. Together, we continue to shine brightly as a beacon of innovation, achievement, and pride in Maryland public education.
