  • Our February Family Night was a blast — we loved seeing so many families at our Neon Dance Party and look forward to hosting it again next year! Be sure to mark your calendars for our March Family Night on March 26 from 6:00–7:30 PM. We’re excited to welcome the local sheriff’s department as they present on the latest technology trends and share important information to help parents stay informed and keep children safe in today’s digital world. While parents attend the presentation, students will enjoy a movie in a separate space. We hope you’ll join us for this informative and family-friendly evening!
  • If you haven't already completed this form to register your incoming kindergartner, please do so as soon as possible. Share this link with any neighbors that don't have students already at Boulton. https://www.davis.k12.ut.us/o/dsd/page/kindergarten-enrollment-page

  • Our school now has an Amazon Wishlist. If you'd like to donate, feel free to take a look at our list and it will send your purchase directly to the school. We will update it periodically. Thank you for your support! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1GZPZ3DBVJJRT?ref_=wl_share

  • Please note the date change, class pictures will now be March 12th. A flyer will come home closer to the date to order a class photo.
  • Yearbooks are available for purchase now through March 20th in your MyDSD account. After that, we will have a very limited number that will be on a first come, first served basis the last week of school.

Communities can work together for all students, Every Day Counts

It takes a community to support student success. When schools, families, and local organizations work together, we can break down barriers to attendance and create

lasting change.

Students who show up thrive! Did you know, 9th graders with high attendance are up

to 4x more likely to graduate than those who miss frequently. Let’s work as one to

ensure every student is in class, every day.

We know so many wonderful things are happening at Boulton each day, and we’d love to hear about them! Parents and guardians are invited to use this form to recognize our amazing teachers, staff, or even the school as a whole.

Your kind words help us celebrate the good, spread positivity, and shine a light on the great work happening in our community.

Mrs. Baird: Alex had a bad cut on his thumb and couldn’t use the thumb for 5 days per doctor’s orders. Mrs Baird went out of her way to help adjust his class experience so he could still participate. Thank you, Mrs Baird!

Technology Safety Technology Safety

Technology concerns are always prevalent in today’s world, and staying informed is one of the best ways we can keep our children safe.

We encourage you to take advantage of this free course designed to help parents stay up to date on current technology trends, online safety, and practical tools for protecting your child.

Being proactive and educated makes a powerful difference. Thank you for partnering with us to support and safeguard our students.

Did you know…

Boulton Cell Phone/Electronics Policy:

Student cell phones and smart watches are not to be used during the school day. Phones and smart watches can be stored, powered off, in student backpacks. This is actually state law, beyond just Boulton Elementary and Davis School District. If a student has an emergency and needs to contact home, they should let their teacher know. The teacher can then send them to the office with a pass to use the school phone. Playdates and other arrangements need to be scheduled before coming to school. This policy is in place to help keep students safe and ensure they are focused on learning throughout the school day. If a device is used in violation of school rules:

  • First offense: The teacher will take the device and return it at the end of the day.
  • Second offense: The device will be sent to the office and must be picked up by a parent/guardian.

Boulton Elementary’s Positive Behavior Plan: Paw Points/Coins

At Boulton, we’re committed to creating a positive, inclusive school culture where respectful, responsible, safe, and kind behavior is recognized and celebrated. Our Paw Points/Coins system helps us do just that!

How It Works:

  • Earning Coins: Students and classes can earn coins when they show positive behavior, like being respectful, responsible, safe, and kind.
  • Who Gives Coins: All staff members can award coins, with a focus on recognizing students' personal bests.
  • Celebrating Success: As classes collect coins, they track their progress on a chart. Reaching milestones (like 50, 100, 200 coins, etc.) earns them fun rewards chosen with their teacher.

Key Points:

  • Our focus is always on positive behavior—coins are never taken away.
  • Staff work together to consistently recognize and celebrate student efforts.
  • Rewards are designed to motivate students and build a strong, supportive school community.

Thank you for supporting us in fostering a positive environment where every student can shine! 🌟

SAFETY IS ALWAYS FIRST SAFETY IS ALWAYS FIRST

Safety comes first, even when it's not convenient.

All visitors must check in at the office and enter through the front doors. Side doors are not to be used for entry. Please note that you will need to verify your ID to access the building. If you wish to volunteer in classrooms, please ensure that you have completed the necessary background checks. We take these safety measures very seriously because the well-being of our children is our top priority.

We kindly ask that you follow all instructions regarding traffic flow at the school. Reminders will be sent out periodically. Please be respectful to our teachers and staff who are directing traffic, as their primary concern is the safe arrival and departure of every child. Our children learn important life skills, such as interacting with others, managing frustrations, and staying safe, by observing our actions. Let’s set the best example for them.

BACKGROUND CHECKS BACKGROUND CHECKS

WHO NEEDS A BACKGROUND CHECK?

According to state law, “...a volunteer who will be given significant unsupervised access to a student in connection with the volunteer’s assignment...” must submit to and clear a nationwide criminal background check before volunteering.

Examples include:

* Chaperones for field trips.

* After School Activities (musicals, art)

* Tutoring out of line-of-sight of a District employee.

* Any coaching role, such as athletic team coaches, dance or cheer squad advisors, and/or extracurricular club advisors.

Background checks are done by appointment only and fill up quickly. Get an appointment right away if you have not already had a background check completed. Background checks are valid for the duration of time you have students in the district and there is no fee to complete your background check.

To schedule a background check, please visit the following document. https://core-docs.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/4672/dsd/4229061/Who_Needs_A_Backgroun_Check_5.1.24.pdf
