Why Math Night Matters - Join us on September 11!
Families, mark your calendars— Singapore Math Night is coming up on September 11, and it's more than just a fun evening. It’s a chance to step into your child’s world and experience the excitement of hands-on learning, innovative teaching, and our vibrant school community!
For All Grades! While activities are geared toward Kinder–6th grade, all families are welcome. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our Tiny Tigers to get a sneak peek at what’s ahead in their learning journey.
Why it Matters:
-
Strengthens the home-school connection by giving families a window into our teaching strategies.
-
Builds confidence in parents to support learning at home.
-
Inspires younger students and showcases the amazing growth ahead.
-
Highlights our Innovation Lab and cutting-edge STEM learning.
-
Builds community spirit—with a Spirit Day prize for the grade with the highest turnout!
Our Tiny Tiger Cheerleaders will kick off the evening with spirit and excitement, setting the tone for a night of fun and learning. Families will then rotate through engaging math stations that mirror the Hilltop learning experience, checking off items on their Math Bucket List along the way. While students head to the playground for supervised play, parents will attend a Math Strategies Session to explore how we teach and discover practical ways to support learning at home. To wrap up the night, families will head home with fun, take-home math activities to enjoy together!

Your Voice Matters: Help Families Discover St. Luke's
Word of mouth is the single most powerful tool we have in the admission process. Families who are part of St. Luke’s know firsthand the difference our school makes, and your stories speak louder than any brochure or ad ever could. When you share your experience with friends, neighbors, or colleagues, you help other families see what it means to have a child who is truly known, loved, and challenged. Every referral strengthens our community and helps St. Luke’s continue to grow and thrive. We invite you to be an ambassador for the Hilltop by connecting us with families who might be searching for the right fit.
There are several ways to invite prospective families to explore St. Luke's:
- Share our Instagram posts directly with friends
- Invite them to a St. Luke's event
- Make a personal introduction with our Enrollment office
If you know someone who would benefit from a St. Luke’s education, please introduce us! I’d love to meet them. Together, we can ensure that more families discover what makes St. Luke’s such a special place.
Andrea Jenkins, Director of Enrollment
Special Challenge! Congrats to Easton and Claire McNab, who won the coveted up-front parking spot all year long for referring friends to St. Luke's! The challenge is now on for the 2026-2027 admission year! You will get 1 entry for each referral who enrolls at St. Luke's.
Parent Badges & Carpool Placards
All parent badges have been sent home—please check your child’s backpack. If your badge is missing, email alow@sles-sa.org to request a replacement. If you haven’t taken your badge photo yet, stop by the front desk at your earliest convenience.
Extra carpool placards that were requested will be sent home this week—keep an eye out for them!

Yearbook Recognition Ads Now Open to All Students!
Yearbook Recognition Ads are the perfect way to commemorate achievements and celebrate milestones. Purchase a recognition ad to commemorate a significant school year or share your hopes and dreams for your child in print.
Revenues from Recognition Ads help our school create a bigger, better yearbook. To purchase your ad online (or pre-order a yearbook), visit our St. Luke's Jostens page. Jostens is responsible for our school's yearbook ad sales, and ads can be created entirely online through the Jostens website. If you run into any issues or need assistance with your yearbook order or a recognition ad, please reach out to Ms. Vied (vvied@sles-sa.org). Yearbooks will be available until sold out, but Ad Recognitions orders must be placed by February 1, 2026.
Join Us for Prayer at the Flagpole
Students, families and faculty are invited to gather at the flagpole on Wednesday, September 24th at 7:15 a.m. in the north carpool lane. We will come together in prayer for our school, our community, and our world.
Save the Date: Episcopal Schools Sunday
Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 5th! Worship services will be held at 9 and 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Our students will participate in both services by singing, reading, acolyting, playing the handbells, and ushering.
If your student would like to take part, please contact Chaplain Kates.
Grandparent & Special Friend Lunches Are Back!
We are excited to invite Grandparents and Special Friends to have lunch with their grandchild/special friend at St. Luke's! There are two dates available in September: Friday, September 12th and Tuesday, September 23rd. There will be more dates available every month, so stay tuned!
In order to join students for lunch, grandparents and special friends must sign up for lunch here. Please note that there are a limited number of sign ups per grade. St. Luke's LIVE! - Saturday, September 27 - TICKETS NOW ON SALE
Please join St. Luke's Church for St. Luke's LIVE! An annual fundraiser hosted by St. Luke's Church on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Each year, the St. Luke's Church community comes together at the St. Luke's LIVE event to raise funds for the Church and its ministries. The designated 2025 ministry beneficiary for St. Luke's LIVE is the "Rebuild & Renew" Renovation Project, which will refresh and modernize the church parlors, kitchenette, and construct new ADA accessible Parlor restrooms. These sacred spaces have served the church well for decades - but they need renewal. With your help, SLEC will create a warm, welcoming, and fully accessible environment that reflects the hospitality, dignity, and love they extend to everyone who walks through their doors. This is an investment in the present and future of our church home.
