Colder Weather is Arriving!
With the arrival of cooler weather, we want to remind all students and families that AMSA has a variety of uniform compliant warmer layers that can be worn during class.
We encourage families to purchase the long sleeve version of the polo shirt from Land's End and at least one classroom layer option. Approved classroom layers are available from Land's End.. Please reference the attached uniform page of the website for more information.
Congratulations to the AMSA World Language Department!
Congratulations! Your school has earned a Seal of Biliteracy Star Award in recognition of its Massachusetts State Seal of Biliteracy outcomes for SY2024–2025.
Congratulations to AMSA Junior Maya Prabakaran!
We are excited to congratulate AMSA junior Maya Prabakaran on her acceptance into the prestigious
Financial Times Student Advocate Programme!
Maya was recommended for this opportunity by her AP Microeconomics teacher, Ms. Jessica Bowen. The Financial Times, a globally recognized leader in business and economic journalism based in London, offers this program to provide students with opportunities to develop their leadership and communication skills while representing the publication within their school communities.
This is a wonderful accomplishment and an exciting opportunity for Maya to expand her knowledge of economics, business, and global affairs.
Congratulations, Maya! We are proud of your achievement and know you will represent AMSA with excellence!

AMSA Middle School Math Team Starts the Season Strong!
Congratulations to the AMSA Middle School Math Team on an impressive start to the competition season! Nine team members competed in the first Intermediate Math League of Massachusetts (IMLEM) meet of the year, earning an outstanding third-place finish in their cluster, behind Gibbons Middle School and narrowly trailing Melican Middle School.
This strong showing was truly a team effort, with all nine students contributing solid scores. Leading the way were team captain Kalen Zou and Oliver Williamson, who both earned near-perfect scores!
The team looks forward to building on this early success as they prepare for four additional IMLEM meets and two other math competitions throughout the school year.
Congratulations to our talented mathematicians! Keep up the great work, and Go Eagles!

6th Grade Field Trip - Worcester EcoTarium
On Wednesday, November 4, 6th graders will spend the day at the Worcester EcoTarium exploring rockets, electricity, animals, and the stars.
Students should wear comfortable athletic shoes, comfortable pants, and their green Class of 2033 shirt. Plan on packing layers because some of the animal exhibits are outdoors and the fall weather can make it quite cold in the morning and warmer in the afternoon.
Students should bring a water bottle, a hearty lunch (please, no glass bottles/containers), and a string bag to carry all of their belongings.
Buses will leave AMSA at 9 am and will return by 2:30 pm in time for afterschool sports and clubs.
Cost: $34 - please register on MySchoolBucks
Lunch: Students need to pack a lunch for this trip
Last Day for Sign Up: Monday, October 26th

Meds: Students with Epipens and inhalers must have: 1. medical order, 2. Allergy and/or Asthma Action Plan from a medical provider, 3. AMSA parent paperwork for their specific med (this is on the HO website) and 4. the student must have an unexpired epipen or inhaler on them for us to do a contract to carry. Attention Seniors of the Class of 2027:
The yearbook staff is now collecting your formal portraits, baby/toddler photos, and quotes with quotee.
PORTRAITS: Please send a school-appropriate senior portrait by email. We use a portrait ratio of 3:2, meaning it stands vertical. Any horizontal photos that are submitted may have some parts cut off.
Our website takes .jpg, .png, .tiff, and .heic formats, with JPEG recommended for best results.
If you decide not to use an outside portrait company, the school will simply use your ID photo instead.
BABY/TODDLER PHOTOS: Show off your adorable or mischievous character from when you were very young! These can be any orientation, however, they must be a LARGE enough file size. A minimum of 300 dpi (dots per inch) to a maximum of 8000 x 8000 pixels is required. Please email your photo to the yearbook staff with your portrait and quote.
QUOTE: The yearbook staff and advisor reserve the right to remove or exclude any quote that is inappropriate or offensive. Please email your chosen quote (with the portrait and baby photo) to the yearbook staff. The quote must also come with its source or author to be accepted. Do proper research!
Please take this seriously, seniors! We want a book that looks full and complete and loaded with memories.
We kindly ask that you get this stuff to the Yearbook Staff by NOVEMBER 1st.
