We continued our nonfiction summative from before winter break. We took the information from our nonfiction books and created a Public Service Announcement. You can view the PSAs here: Day or Goosen.
Next week we will move to our next unit: argumentative writing.

Science: Mr. Geringer & Mrs. Oliver
This week in science students continued to study cell organelle function by creating cell analogies. We worked together to show how the parts of a city perform similar functions to the parts of a cell, then students were tasked with creating their own analogy.
Our summative assessment over Structure, Function, and Information Processing (Cells) Goals 1, 2, and 3 will take place next week. A study guide can be found in Classroom.
Social Studies: Mrs. Goosen & Mr. Landolt
Students are continuing to learn about the various forms of government. They have created a government for their island country (the project we have been working on all year).
Students will be learning about ancient governments and we will end the unit with a research project.
