End of Year Testing - Coming Soon for All Students

The end of year testing is coming up for all students. Each grade level takes the i-Ready End of the Year Diagnostic between April 20 - May 8. We will share specific dates with families as we get closer. We ask that you encourage your child to take their time and put forth their best effort.

West Virginia Standardized Testing begins when students are in 3rd grade. All 3rd grade students take the WV General Summative Assessments for Writing, Reading, and Math. They take the writing assessment on April 15, the reading assessment on May 6, and the math assessment on May 13. We ask for all students to be present if at all possible to take the assessments with their class. Again, please encourage your child to take their time and give their best effort!

Student Absences

When your child is absent, there is no need to call the school. Please make sure you send a note with your student when he/she returns to school. Absence notes may now be submitted electronically this year by clicking on this link.

It is very important to submit a note or send a note for your student.

Also, when your child is absent, calls are made district-wide to let parents/guardians know. If you know that your child is home, you do not need to call the school. It is a courtesy call for families and mainly is applicable to older students, but is a district-wide system.

Library News

Thanks to everyone who supported our Rosemont Scholastic Book Fair. Both the Coin Drive and Book Fair were a HUGE success! We were able to put many books in our classroom libraries, which directly benefits every student at Rosemont. Thank you for always supporting reading at Rosemont!

Thank you - Thank you to everyone who sent in donations for the Berkeley County Humane Society. We collected a lot of items and they were very much appreciated!

Character Pillars - Our character pillar for April is FAIRNESS. Please remember to wear ORANGE on Wednesdays during the month of April.
