Trimester 3 Mid Term Grades
Today marks the midterm of trimester 3. This is a perfect time to review your student's grades with them in Skyward. There is enough time to make improvements before the end of the term in June. Here are the directions for accessing grades in Skyward: Skyward Link Here is Albright's Grading Handbook, which explains our grading policies:Grading Policy Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Dr. Aulisa
Summer Chromebook Use
Salt Creek School District 48 all district-issued Chromebooks (and chargers) go home with students for summer use. All Chromebook activity will continue to be filtered and logged. However, the District will not be actively monitoring the activity until school resumes and students will only be allowed to access district approved educational materials. This only applies to students in grades 1 through 7 who are fully registered for the 25-26 school year. Summer technology will not be an option for our current kindergarten students, as those Chromebooks remain in Kindergarten each year.
We will not be able to do repairs throughout the summer, so if your child's device has any issues during this time, please email their school's administrative assistant and principal. We can work together on a solution that works best for you.
If you would like to opt-out of having your child keep their device for the summer, please email Gerrie Aulisa at gaulisa@saltcreek48.org. If no response is received, and your child is fully registered, then your child will be sent home with their Chromebook.
No SummerU (Summer School)
As families begin making their summer plans, we are sorry to inform you that we will not offer a SummerU program like in recent years. We cannot have our typical summer programming in any of our buildings due to construction. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and look forward to returning to our SummerU program for the summer of 2026. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me, Chris Martelli - Director of Curriculum and Instruction, at cmartelli@saltcreek48.org.
Illinois Science Assessment (ISA)
Students in grades 5 and 8 will take the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA), which aligns with Illinois Learning Standards in science.
The ISA represents Illinois’ commitment to preparing all students for college and careers, including in the high-demand science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. The assessment also satisfies federal accountability requirements. The ISA is designed to reflect classroom experiences. For all questions, students will need to think critically and apply science concepts to select an answer, thus better preparing them for higher education and a career.
We all work together to ensure Illinois students build a cohesive understanding of science over time. Thank you for your role in developing lifelong learners and successful citizens.
Door 2 (District Office Door) Under Construction the remainder of the year!
During spring break, construction will begin at Albright, which will block Door #2 (the District Office entrance). Please use Door #1 on the Albright Office side for the remainder of the school year.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Let's Get to School on Time
In the last few weeks, we have noticed increased numbers of students arriving tardy to school. Please remember that if a student arrives after 7:40, they need to be dropped off at Door 1 and will be considered tardy.
Students who are late to school lose the chance to connect with classmates during Anchor, receive information from morning announcements, and start the school day off in a calm, collected manner.
If you need help encouraging your student to get up and ready in the morning and arrive on time, please reach out to Mrs. Hummel (hhummel@saltcreek48.org)
Drop-off Window: 7:35 - 7:43am Pick Up Time: 2:28pm
