2026-27 Annual Health Services Notification and Opt-Out
Annual Health-Related Services Notification and Opt-Out
In compliance with Texas Senate Bill 12, districts must inform parents about all health-related services provided to students during the school year and allow parents the right to withhold consent/opt-out of a health-related service. Consent is considered effective until the end of the school year, unless parents provide a change in consent decisions during the school year.
All parents must complete the 2026-27 Annual Health Service Notification and Opt-Out Form for each enrolled child PRIOR to the first day of school. Any students without completed forms by the first day of school will have assumed consent, per TEA guidance, and will receive the health-related services on the annual notice form until and unless parent opt-out is received. The forms for each campus are listed below. The instructions are included if you need the form in another language.

Annual Student Club and Extracurriculur Permission
Senate Bill 12 requires permission from parents for their child to participate in school-sponsored clubs or organizations authorized and approved by Orenda Charter School District. Each campus will be sending out club permission forms to be completed prior to participation.

House Bill 2703, enacted by the 89th Texas Legislature and effective May 28, 2025, officially designates the month of July as American Patriotism Month to celebrate the United States of America and honor the values and principles on which it was founded. Ways to Be Active for 60 Minutes Each Day
Alliance for a Healthier Generation recommends families be active for 60 minutes every day. Family members of all ages can split their activity into shorter times throughout the day and still enjoy the benefits. You can find ideas for family activities for outdoors, indoors, or in any weather in the online activities handout.
