New Staff
We are saying goodbye to Mrs. Shaw in kindergarten, Mrs. Walk in 2nd grade, and Mrs. Leishman & Cochran in 3rd grade. We are grateful for all they did for their Mountain View kiddos!
We would like to welcome three new amazing teachers to our Mountain View family. Mrs. Tiffany Brown will be moving into kindergarten, Mrs. Savage will be taking over as our 2nd grade DEEP teacher, and Mrs. Hardy will be moving into our 3rd/4th split position. We are so excited to have them here and know you will love them!
Back-to-School Night, Wednesday, August 14th from 4:00-5:30pm
Please join us for our back-to-school night tomorrow from 4-5:30pm at the school. This will be an open house style, so come anytime during that window to wander the school and meet your new teacher. We are excited to have families back in the building and look forward to seeing you!
First-Day Plans
Students will be welcome to enter the building that morning beginning at 8:30am through the front doors. Parents are invited to join their students including walking with them to their class. Teachers will meet students at the door of their classroom this first morning. We will have music, some opportunities for first-day pictures, and a lot of smiles! We will make an announcement at 8:55am thanking parents for joining us and ask that they head out so we can get the day started.
Beginning Friday, August 16th, students will line up at their assigned space outside the school.
Drop-off and Pick-up Instructions
The bus loop in front of the school will be closed to vehicles 8:20 to 9:00am to allow buses in for drop off. As soon as all buses have dropped off students, the loop will be opened again. It will be closed again in the afternoon from 3:15 to 3:45pm to allow buses in to pick up students. Once all buses have departed, the loop will be opened again.
When dropping off students using the west side parking lot, remember only the left side should be used for student drop off. The right side is a pull-through lane to allow you to move up to an open spot in the drop off lane. Do NOT drop your students off in the pull-through lane and have them cross in front of cars in the drop off lane. Not only is this dangerous, but it impedes vehicles in the pull-through lane.
The yellow signs indicate where adults will be stationed in the morning.
When dropping off students using 3100 N at the front of the school, remember no parking or stopping is allowed on the south side of the street. We do not want students being dropped off and cross that road in front of traffic.
The north side of 3100 N up against the school property is available for drop off. However, remember, no u-turns are allowed in this area.
