Fri 5th December

Friday 5th December
A note from Mrs Fitzsimons
Happy Friday afternoon,
We had a brilliant Open Night on Monday night with over 80 pupils helping us out. As always, they were the best advertisement for our school, from the choir and instrumentalists to our guides. It was also lovely to have Calum Carson and Alex Peden. Past pupils who are Head Boy and Deputy Head Boy this year in their schools. Every year since 2017 we have had a Head/Deputy Head boy or girl from Spa Primary. Some years having as many as four. A great accomplishment for the school.
Our dress rehearsal on Thursday for our Nativity went so well, you are in for a treat. There will be a later start on Tues morning for our P1-P4's if you wish to avail of it after their late night on Monday. We just ask that all children are in by 10:30 am, in uniform and with their costume in a bag. If this doesn't work for you, your child can come in as normal.
Remember it is the whole school flu- vaccine on Thursday.
Cinema day on Friday. There will be no school dinners that day so everyone must bring a packed lunch.
I'm heading now to get my Christmas tree up! 🎄
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs F

More Cross Country Success
Another race, another win. Our team are cleaning up this year. They all ran brilliantly and we came away with another 1st 2nd and 3rd. So proud of what the whole team has achieved.
P5,6 and 7 getting festive in Forest School
P6 used natural materials we found in the forest to make Christmas wreaths. The class worked together to collect leaves, branches and berries to create their own unique designs!
P5 made solar systems out of natural materials and showcased them to their classmates. They then made some hanging Christmas decorations.
P7 went on a bauble hunt to win a chocolate from the advent calendar. They then used natural materials to see who could make the best Christmas tree. They finished up with a scavenger hunt and a snowball fight.
Wellbeing Warriors make a special delivery
Our warriors made their second visit to Spa Nursing Home this year with some cards made by P7 and some Christmas baubles made by P3. They loved them! They all then spent time making cards for their families together. Another happy visit where our warriors and staff come away feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Another example of how giving to others is good for our souls.
