A Note From Our Superintendent, Christinn Jean
Dear Families,
As we close out another remarkable school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for being such an essential part of our school community. This year has been filled with growth, achievement, and moments of connection that remind us what makes our district so special.
From academic milestones to vibrant fine arts performances, from athletic wins to community service projects—our students have thrived because of your partnership and the tireless commitment of our educators and staff. Whether your family is new to our district or has been with us for years, your support has made all the difference.
Looking ahead, we’re excited about what’s in store for the 2025–2026 school year:
- Across the District, we’re investing in school safety and campus upgrades to ensure every student has the tools to succeed in a safe, supportive environment.
- In elementary, students can look forward to enhanced literacy initiatives tailored to spark a love of reading at every level.
- Middle School will be introducing new initiatives to building organizational skills so our students are better prepared for their futures.
- High School will launch a dual credit and internship programs in partnership with local colleges and industries—opening more doors for students as they prepare for life after graduation.
Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time next fall, we are honored to walk alongside your family in this journey. Together, we’ll continue building a school community where every student is known, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Thank you for a great year—and we can’t wait to welcome you back in August!
With gratitude,
Christinn Jean
Congratulations to our 2025 Valedictorians

These designations reflect more than teaching titles—they represent real student success, powerful instruction, and the kind of learning environment we believe every child deserves.

Preventing the Summer Slide: Keep Learning All Summer Long!
As summer break approaches, it's time to rest, relax, and recharge—but did you know students can lose up to two months of academic progress over the summer? This is often called the “Summer Slide,” and it can affect students of all ages.
The good news? It only takes a little bit of learning each day to keep those brains sharp and ready for the next school year!
“Just 15 to 20 minutes a day of reading or math practice can make a huge difference,” says Ms. Venessa Merced-Rosales, third grade teacher at the Seguin campus. “It doesn’t have to be complicated—reading a recipe, playing a math game, or writing in a journal all count!”
Here are a few simple ways parents can help beat the Summer Slide:
✅ Read every day! Visit your local library or try free online book platforms like Storyline Online or EPIC!.
✅ Practice math in real life. Use cooking, shopping, or building projects to sneak in math skills.
✅ Explore educational apps and games. Try Khan Academy Kids, ABCmouse, or CoolMath4Kids.
✅ Write letters, stories, or keep a summer journal. Writing helps with spelling, grammar, and creativity.
Summer is also a great time to explore your child’s interests—whether that’s art, science, or music. Learning doesn’t stop just because school’s out!
