Hello Bengal Parents, March 11, 2022
As part of the Northside ISD device lending agreement signed when technology was issued to our students, our families were notified that in the case of lost or damaged technology they would be financially responsible for the following:
the repair cost due to intentional damage or damage due to neglect or accident.
replacement costs due to device loss for any reason (ie. theft, fire, flood, lightning, or any other cause) or in the event the device is damaged, destroyed or rendered useless while assigned to the student.
There has been a significant increase in the number of devices needing replacement and repair Therefore, we will begin implementing these charges for incidents occurring after March 21, 2022.
See below for more details regarding the charges that could be assessed. If payment is not received, these costs could result in your student’s final report card or transcripts being withheld until the charge is fully reimbursed.
If you have any questions, please contact Briscoe Administration for more information. If you’d like to opt-out from your child receiving another device in the future and would like to supply your own technology to them, you may do so using this link to the district opt-out form.
Thank you,

High School Course Selection
Students met with their high school counselors to review course selections for the 2022-2023 school year. After reviewing these course selections with your child, ONLY return the planning guide if changes are made.
Course selections for the new school year have been entered into HAC, however they are not finalized. In spring, you will be receiving correspondence from the high school, at which time you will be able to finalize any changes.
If your child was absent, they received an email from Mrs. Leyva on Tuesday, Feb. 1st, to include the planning guide of course selections. Please encourage your child to review this email and contact their Briscoe counselor for any questions.
