CMAS Testing
Week 1 of Testing Concluded
As we conclude a successful week of CMAS testing, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support. Your partnership in ensuring that our students were well-prepared, well-rested, and confident played a pivotal role in their success. Thank you to the many parent volunteers who donated and helped sort snacks and the parents who assisted with decorating doors.
We are on to week 2 of testing, 5th and 8th grade students will complete CMAS Science testing April 13-14. During testing days please refrain from making any avoidable appointments for your student(s) as make-up testing takes students away from structure class time.
New WCA School Spirit Wear! 🐾
Available Year Round
We have some exciting news for our Cougar families! We are officially launching a brand-new online apparel store that completely changes the way you shop for WCA approved informal uniform apparel and gear.
Gone are the days of waiting for a specific two-week window to order your spirit wear. We know our students grow fast and school spirit doesn't have an "off-season," so we’ve moved to a permanent online platform that is open 24/7, 365 days a year.
What’s Available?
Whether you are prepping for the new school year or looking for summer gear, the store has you covered:
Uniform Approved Outerwear: You can now order the approved WCA crewneck sweatshirt and hoodie (MS 5-8 only) and zip up hoodie (MS 5-8 only) anytime you need a replacement.
Cougar Spirit Wear: Show your pride all summer long! The store features a wide variety of items including T-shirts, baseball hats, bags, and more.
Why the Change?
We wanted to provide a more convenient experience for our families. No more rushing to meet a deadline or missing out on a "pop-up" sale. Now, you can order exactly what you need, exactly when you need it, and have it shipped directly to your door.
We are so excited to bring this new level of flexibility to our community. Head over to the link below and grab your new favorite WCA gear today!

Around Campus
3rd Grade Math
Mrs. Campell's 3rd Grade students turned geometry into a business venture this week! They started by precisely measuring and calculating the area of twin rectangles to create their very own "squishies." After cutting, coloring, and stuffing them with polyfil, the real work began. Students became entrepreneurs, calculating potential profits for a future Farmer’s Market. It’s amazing to see area and multiplication come to life through a little creativity and a lot of polyfil!
Hatching Eggs
Throughout March, Ms. Estrada and Ms. Schnakenburg’s kindergarten students explored STEM through a hands-on hatching eggs project by designing nests, naming their chick, and celebrating as the eggs finally hatched. It was a joyful blend of science, care, and wonder that brought learning to life! 🐣
