If your child will be attending Hellstern next year, you can use this link to sign up to receive "Hero Happenings!" in email. You can submit as many email addresses as you need. Think about all the family that may need this timely update.

Need to Know

This is our last newsletter for this year! It has been a great year and we hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable summer. Look for our summer updates to start mid-July. We have our Open House/Locker Day event scheduled for August 3rd from 1-3pm.
Our state requires us to offer "adoption awareness" lessons to our students. Here you will find the materials we are provided for these lessons. We will offer the lessons on the last day of school in the library as an option during club time. Please talk with your student about whether or not you would like him/her to participate.
Yearbooks are here and will be passed out to students on Tuesday during advisory.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Parent Screen Time Workshop! If you missed it here are some handouts with summer activities!

From Nurse Laura

All medications in the nurse's office must be picked up by a guardian no later than 2pm on Friday, May 23rd. All medications left with us at that point will be disposed.
Thank you so much for entrusting me to care for your child's medical and health concerns over the past few years. I have graduated with my master's degree and will not be Hellstern's nurse next year. If you have paperwork over the summer, please do not email this to me. When our new nurse is on staff, Hellstern admin will let you know. Stay happy and healthy!

Cross Country - for next year

If you missed the parent meeting for Cross Country and your student is interested in running, please review these slides. Send an email to Coach Palfreeman (tpalfreeman@sdale.org) if your child plans to run.

Free Physicals for Athletics

As we prepare for the upcoming sports seasons, we want to ensure that all our athletes have the necessary physicals completed. This year, free athletic physicals will be offered to all student-athletes in the Springdale Public Schools, grades 7 through 12, both girls and boys. These physicals are generously sponsored by Arkansas Children’s Hospital and UAMS Orthopedics:

All paperwork will need a signature from a parent before arrival. Trainers can be contacted to assist with questions.
