Bronson Community Schools District Update
November 2026
Home is Where the Vikings Are
A heartfelt thank you to Coldwater Community Schools and Sturgis Public Schools for their generosity and hospitality this fall. With construction underway at our athletic complex, their willingness to open their facilities to our football program has made it possible for our student athletes to keep competing and for our community to not have to travel far to cheer them on. We're grateful for their partnership and collaboration.
We'd also like to thank our parents and fans for making the trip to neighboring communities all season long. Your support on the road means the world to our student athletes and coaches!
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to our athletic complex next fall!
Building Healthy Communities
Alanna Denton (Anderson Principal) and Jessica Bucklin (former Ryan Principal) attended the State Board of Education meeting on October 13th to be recognized on behalf of our elementary buildings' work around Building Healthy Communities and wellness last year.
Thank you to our students, families, and staff for their investment in their own wellness; and a special shout-out to Caitlyn Coco, Amairany Albarran, and Tia Weaver for leading the implementation.
Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Recognition
CONGRATULATIONS to Bronson Jr/Sr High School for their ongoing efforts to implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)! Specifically, the building has been recognized by the MiMTSS Technical Assistance Center for MTSS implementation in the following areas:
- Data Utilization award for collecting and using MTSS fidelity data during the 2025-2026 school year in the area of Behavior.
- MTSS Implementation and Impact award - Bronze recognition in the area of Tier 1 behavior.
We're excited to see this work continue at the Jr/Sr High and throughout our district!
SBEV After School Program
The Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village (SBEV) is an organization that partners with communities served by Insight Hospital and focuses on supporting youth within those communities.
We're excited to announce that SBEV is starting an after school program for students in grades K-8 in Bronson at Chicago Street School (in the former space used by the Bronson Youth Center)!

UPDATE on the future of Ryan Elementary School: At the October Board Meeting and Workshop, the Board of Education discussed the future of the current Ryan Elementary site. The district intends to sell the property once the new elementary school opens in Fall 2028. We are currently evaluating options for the site and anticipate having clear next steps by early 2028. We will continue to share updates with our community throughout this process.
