The monthly attendance challenges continue! The October winners were Megan Cope Elementary, Monte Vista Middle School and San Jacinto Leadership Academy.

๐Ÿ† Will the San Jacinto Elementary Tiger mascot and students "steal" the Elementary trophy from Megan Cope Elementary after being disappointed with a second-place finish??? Perhaps the top place will go to Clayton A. Record, Jr., Elementary, Juan Bautista De Anza Elementary, Park Hill Elementary or Jose Antonio Estudillo Elementary!!!

๐Ÿ† Hey, North Mountain Middle School, San Jacinto High School and Mountain View Alternative High School, -- can you top Monte Vista Middle Schools' attendance and win the Secondary trophy?

๐Ÿ† AND.... will Edward Hyatt World Language Academy push San Jacinto Leadership Academy off the top of the podium after three straight wins of the School of Choice trophy???

Each month the winning school receives bragging rights, the coveted attendance trophy AND a lunchtime BBQ for all students and staff!

STAFF SHOUT OUTS & KUDOS STAFF SHOUT OUTS & KUDOS

KUDOS TO:

DAVID VOLLMAR (Teacher, San Jacinto Leadership Academy) Mr. Vollmar goes above and beyond the call of duty. He balances being the middle school and high school ASB Director as well as the middle school Athletic Director. I don't know how he does it all, but he does it all with a smile and patience. Thank you Mr. Vollmar for being amazing!

DR. SHARON RAFFIEE (Executive Director, Personnel Services) I could not do my job without Dr. Raffiee's support and guidance. She is always willing to help. Dr. Raffiee is kind, empathetic and knowledgeable. Thank you so much Dr. Raffiee! I appreciate you and all that you do!

MONICA TROUSDALE (Teacher on Special Assignment) Monica has gone out of her way to support new teachers. She guided me through my beginning years, and still to this day I can rely on her for support and help. She truly is an amazing TOSA who puts her heart and soul into helping out new teachers.

KARA DUNNIGAN (Benefits Technician, Business Services) I was recently out of town and needed a document on very short notice. Kara responded to my email immediately and went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. I really appreciated her kindness and professionalism.

MONICA TROUSDALE - shout out #2 (Teacher on Special Assignment) Monica doesn't just listen to concerns; she acts on them. She works quietly in the background to provide support, and when you bring something to Monicaโ€™s attention you can rest easy knowing the issue will be addressed promptly and thoroughly. She's great!

RAYMOND GALLARDO (Support Specialist II, Technology) Although Raymond hasn't been in the technology department for very long, you would never know it! Raymond's professionalism and knowledge is impressive to say the least. When faced with a problem, he does not settle for "I don't know" - he goes above and beyond until the issue is resolved. He makes it his mission to troubleshoot and think through every possibility until he figures it out. Several colleagues recently had trouble getting technology to work properly. In every scenario, Raymond wouldn't leave until the issue was resolved and then took that "above-and-beyond" step and came back to ensure everything was working properly. He never makes anyone feel like we are bothering him. Raymond goes out of his way to explain programs and updates in depth and with patience so that we can understand and be more productive. He also makes sure the cables are tucked in and neat! He does all of this with pride to do his best and the willingness to help others while having the biggest smile on his face, and a fun, positive attitude. We are very grateful to have Raymond here at SJUSD. He exemplifies the San Jacinto Difference!
