North Middle School...WE DID IT!!! For the first time we beat South in the September Attendance Challenge!!! Our Staffulty are SO proud of you and, after a tour around the building that included pictures, trophy rubs, and A LOT of "Can I hold that?" requests...your trophy is now displayed in the front office. We look forward to continuing our celebrations throughout the year with attendance as we consistently are breaking records this year! CONGRATS!!!

Our “Take a Veteran to School Day” Assembly will be held on Friday, November 7th, at 8:00 a.m. We’re inviting veterans to join us for this special event and speak with our 6th-grade students throughout the day in small groups about their service and experiences. Families can also honor their loved ones who have served by emailing photos to mupdike@k12.wv.us to be included in our Veterans Day slideshow. Let’s come together to celebrate and thank those who have bravely served our country!

Get ready, Blue Devils — basketball season is right around the corner! Girls’ tryouts will be held November 3rd & 4th with JV from 5:00–6:00 PM and Varsity from 6:15–7:15 PM. Boys’ tryouts are scheduled for November 10th & 11th with JV from 3:00–4:00 PM and Varsity from 4:00–5:00 PM.

All athletes must have a completed sports physical turned in to Mr. Jackson (7th grade) or Ms. Holloway no later than the morning of tryouts. This allows time to verify GPAs (minimum 2.0 required) and eligibility. Please review the physical form carefully before signing and submitting.

Come prepared with your basketball gear and water bottle. Tryouts are closed to parents/guardians — only students intending to try out may attend.

Martinsburg North Middle School will be holding a November Food Drive to help fight hunger in our community! Students and families are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items such as canned vegetables, fruits, beans, pasta, sauces, and soups. Please ensure all donations are unopened and not expired. Donations can be dropped off through November 21st. For more information, contact Ms. Poe or Ms. Sigler. Together, we can make a difference this holiday season!

As the holiday season approaches, we are reminded of the importance of community, compassion, and giving. The North Elves Holiday Program is once again here to offer support to families in need within our school community.
