Weekly Schedule: Aug. 31- Sept. 4

  • Mon: No School - Labor Day

  • Tues - Fri: Regular Schedule

Dear Families,

As we get started on the third week of the school year, things are beginning to settle into place here at Henkle. Students are learning, teachers are teaching, and our support teams are working hard to keep us fed, cared for, and safe across the school.

While the daily routine is helpful to many of us, we also know that some students are still settling in or may even feel a little stressed keeping up with the pace. We want families to know that we have staff available to talk with you and work with your student on any challenges they may be experiencing.

Please contact me, your child’s teacher, or our office if you would like us to be aware of anything in your student’s life that might affect them here at school. We take our partnership with families in providing the very best support we can for the growth and development of our students seriously, and are always happy to connect.

Thank you again for sharing your student with us! Seeing them learn and grow is how we as educators find satisfaction in the work we do.

Warmly,

Jim

Class Notes: Content, Homework, and School-Wide Vocabulary

Each week, teachers provide updates on what they are doing in your student’s classes. Please take a few moments to open this link and review what’s going on in your child’s classes at Henkle.

Prearranged Absence Policy Reminder

We’re here to support your student’s success! If your child will be absent for reasons other than unexpected illness, please let us know ahead of time.

  • 1–2 day absences: A quick email, phone call, or note to the front office is all it takes. Calls need to be received prior to the start of school at 8:15am for the absence to be excused.

  • 3+ day absences: Please submit a pre-arranged absence request at least five days before the absence.

We prioritize your child’s safety and will reach out if they are absent. If you have attendance questions or need info on tardies, please contact the office or school administration.
