Farmington Football Aug 11 Update
August 11, 2024
It's go time! Tomorrow we begin practice!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?!
Tomorrow we begin practice for levels 9-12 grade. Here is a small checklist to make sure players have ready for tomorrow!
-Cleats
-A lock for their locker
-Indoor workout shoes (no crocs or hey dudes)
-Lunch
-Mouthguard
-Girdle (won't need until later in the week)
-Any equipment they have been issued
The meeting for all players begins at 10:00am in the FHS Lecture Hall. That means we need to arrive by at least 9:45am to get organized.
If you missed the equipment checkout times, please have your son arrive by 9:00am Monday to get outfitted. Coaches will be available in the main gym for checkout.
-Coach Pieper
Please understand that this schedule is fluid and will change.
IMPORTANT: What are families responsible for providing?
Players will need a combination lock for their locker, knee pads, cleats, a girdle, and a mouthguard. All other equipment is provided by the program.
Tiger Card Sales - Fundraiser
On Monday, all players will be issued a stack of cards to sell. These Tiger Cards pay for a great deal of things for the program... most notably, the assistant coaches' stipends. There will be individual and squad incentives for selling cards. Individual sales can be done anytime between August 12 and August 22(blitz night). On blitz night, players will be divvied up into "squads" to go out and sell as a group. (All players 9-12 will participate in blitz night)
Picture Times
Players will bring home a hard copy of the picture form for ordering individual/team pictures.

Message from Kayla Strodtman, our Athletic Trainer
As the 2024–2025 school year begins, it’s time for the Athletic Training Staff to prepare for a safe and successful season. As the school’s Licensed Athletic Trainer, it is important for me to communicate with all coaches, student-athletes, parents, and guardians in order to in order to provide quality services through Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO). I hope this letter will provide you with ample information on how I strive to provide a positive experience for your student-athlete.
This informational letter will walk you through the services available to you and your athlete. Please contact me directly with any questions.
Schoology and Hudl
Schoology will be the primary form of communication with our players during the season. Players and coaches will use schoology for playbooks, assignments, plus various other resources. We would like for the player to learn how to communicate with their coaches using that platform. There will be a 9th grade schoology page and a 10-12 schoology page. These pages are set up already, and I've largely placed all participants in the right spot.
Hudl is the way in which we review practice and game film. It is an integral part of the learning process. Much like schoology, there is a 9th grade hudl group, and a 10-12 hudl group. Your son will get into hudl the first days of practice, if they have not already.
