Nature Journaling Club for Educators

Learn nature journaling skills and activities that you can use with your students, all while exploring the biodiversity of San Diego with like-minded educators. Nature journaling improves our observation skills and piques our curiosity, leading us to ask questions about and have stronger connections to nature. It also helps calm our nervous system, and inspires creativity and independent thinking.

Sessions will be held every second Saturday of the month from 9 to 11 a.m.

  • Sept. 9: Buena Vista Lagoon
  • Oct. 14: Rancho Penasquitos
  • Nov. 11: Balboa Park

Have questions? Email Info@sdchildrenandnature.org or register here for Nature Journaling Club.

Free Humane Science Education Resources for 2023-2024

PETA TeachKind Science has launched a state-of-the-art science education pilot program to teach students dissection using more effective, ethical, and economical non-animal training methods, such as interactive computer software programs and hands-on, realistic simulation models like SynFrog. Our pilot program is designed to incorporate modern teaching tools that are aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards and offered free to qualifying schoolsโ€”and to gauge teacher and student satisfaction. Through our pilot program, we donate these resources to schools nationwide. For more information or to submit an application to participate in the free pilot program, please visit PETA TeachKind or contact Morgan Apperson at morgana@peta.org. Thank you
