DRRHS Falcon Flash
March 20th, 2026
A Message from Mr. Demers
Dear DRRHS Families,
With the last of the snow finally melting away just in time for the start of spring sports season, it was a busy week here on 2700 Regional Road. Not only were the fields and gym filled with the hustle and bustle of a new athletic season, the days were filled with some fantastic happenings both inside and outside of the classrooms. Here are a few of the highlights:
On Thursday evening, the Class of 2026 hosted their annual Senior Superlative “Oscar Night.” This event has become a highlight of the school year, bringing our seniors together to celebrate their many talents and contributions. It also serves as the unofficial beginning of their journey toward graduation on June 5th. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners, and a sincere thank you to Mrs. Tremblett and the yearbook team for their outstanding work in organizing such a memorable evening.
On Wednesday, State Representative Justin Thurber visited DRRHS to speak with our Social Studies classes about his work in state government. He also took time to be interviewed by our student newspaper, The Falcon Flyer. We are grateful to Representative Thurber—and to our entire state delegation—for their continued support and commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for our students.
On Thursday evening, Superintendent Runey, Assistant Superintendent Souza, and members of the DRRHS administration and faculty hosted an informational session on Early College pathways. The event was well attended and highly informative, offering families of current 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students the opportunity to learn more about our partnership with Bridgewater State University. Through this program, students can earn college credits during their high school years at no cost to families,
Though the middle of March might not always feel like spring it is certainly exciting to begin to see the outside of campus begin to come back to life. Best of luck to all of our spring athletes and we look forward to seeing everyone at the many different games and events that will take place over the next few months. Have a great weekend!
With Falcon Pride,
Dustin Demers

Important Information
Subject: Technology Repair Fees
Dear Families,
We hope this message finds you well. As part of our commitment to maintaining our technology resources, we wanted to inform you about our updated repair fee structure. These fees help us cover the cost of repairs when school-issued devices are damaged due to misuse or carelessness. The fees are divided into three tiers, depending on the extent of the damage. These fees will appear on your child’s My School Bucks Account.
Level 1
Charger, Cover (top or bottom), Touchpad, etc.
$40
Level 2
Keyboard, Monitor
$75
Level 3
Total Loss/Replacement
$300
We encourage students to handle their devices with care to avoid any damage and the associated costs. If a device does require repair, the appropriate fee will be communicated to you along with the steps to resolve the issue.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support in keeping our technology in great condition! If you have any questions or concerns, please email the IT Department (emails are listed below).
Early College Information Night
As mentioned above, this past Thursday an Early College pathway informational meeting was held at DRRHS. If you were unable to attend, you can access the full presentation here:
This program represents a tremendous opportunity for students to get a head start on their college journey. We encourage all interested families to complete the interest form and stay mindful of the upcoming deadlines:

- April 10: Notification of acceptance sent
Reminder: These courses carry AP-weighted credit, making them a valuable addition to a student’s academic pathway.
We are excited to continue building meaningful opportunities for our students and look forward to your participation.
MA DECA State Conference
Seven members of our DECA Club competed at States last week. Although we do not have any members moving on to Internationals this year, our members had a great showing with Mia Saviolakis and Cole Kiselica advancing to the third round in Quiz Bowl and Kylie Smith finishing in the top twelve and advancing to the finals in the Sales Project competition.
DRRHS 2026-2027 Scheduling Information
Over the next few weeks, school counselors will be meeting with juniors individually about their senior schedule requests and future plans. After that, they will check in with the sophomores and freshmen to make sure their courses for next year are requested correctly. Here are the instructions for students to select classes in Aspen.

Help Shape the Future of Career & Technical Education at DRRHS!
Dear Dighton Rehoboth Families,
Exciting things are happening at Dighton Rehoboth Regional High School! Our Career & Technical Education (CTE) department is launching three brand-new programs: Medical Assisting, Criminal Justice, and Culinary Arts, and we’re looking for enthusiastic parents and students to help us bring these programs to life.
We are currently seeking volunteers to serve on our Program Advisory Committees (PACs). PAC members play an important role in helping guide and strengthen our programs. Your insights and experiences can help us design meaningful learning opportunities that prepare students for real-world careers.
As a PAC member, you will help:
Shape and strengthen program curriculum
Inspire students as they explore their career pathways
Share industry knowledge and perspectives
Help ignite curiosity and a passion for lifelong learning in our students
The commitment is minimal but impactful:
Approximately 3–4 virtual meetings
One in-person walkthrough once the program spaces are completed
If you have experience in healthcare, law enforcement/criminal justice, culinary arts, or related industries, or simply have a passion for helping students succeed, we would love to have you involved.
This is a wonderful opportunity to help shape the future of Dighton Rehoboth Regional High School and support the next generation of skilled professionals.
If you are interested in joining a Program Advisory Committee, please sign up using the Parent and Student Interest Form found below.
Thank you for your continued support of our students and our school community.
Warm regards,
Michael Strojny

Phone/Earbud/Headphone Usage DRRHS
District Electronic Device Policy
The term “electronic devices,” includes but is not limited to cell phones, iPads/tablets, laptops/computers (other than those issued by the District), electronic/smart devices, and headphones/airpods. The expectation is that these personal devices remain off and away during the school day. Staff may require students to store phones in a centralized location. The only exception is at the high school, where students are permitted to use their phones during transition time in the hallway between classes and during lunch. High school students are not allowed to use their phones during class time, or when out of the classroom during class time (i.e., bathroom breaks). Students remain solely responsible for any loss or damage to any electronic devices used or brought onto school property. Use of electronic devices at school are subject to the District’s Acceptable Use Policy and any applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to M.G.L. c. 272, sec. 99, which is sometimes known as the Massachusetts Wiretapping Law.

1:51 - Dismissal
Attendance
A reminder that a student will be assigned Saturday School if they accrue 5 attendance points in a quarter.
- An unexcused absence (one not accompanied by a valid medical note) equals one attendance point.
- An unexcused tardy/dismissal equals an attendance half point.
A student's exemplary academic standing or disciplinary record have no bearing on the assignment of a Saturday School in the case of five or more attendance points being accrued over the course of one quarter of the school year.
First period begins at 7:17AM. Any student not in their classroom at 7:17 or later will be considered tardy for that day.
Chromebooks
All Chromebooks should be charged and ready for each school day. Outside devices are not permitted, only school issued Chromebooks can be used at DRRHS during the school day.
The school has a limited number of loaner chromebooks and priority is to those students whose chromebooks are being fixed. Please remember that students should be bringing in fully charged chromebooks to school every day with charging cords.
Student Parking
If a Senior or Junior is planning on parking at school, they can purchase a sticker in the office. The cost to park at school is $60 for the year. At the start of Semester 2, parking will be $30 for the balance of the year. Parking forms are available in the office. Please be aware that students will not be able to go out to their cars during the school day. They must remember to have everything with them when they enter the building in the morning.
Faculty Parking Lot
Please make sure you do not cut through the Faculty Parking Lot before or after school. The Faculty Parking Lot should not be used as a shortcut for safety reasons. Thank you!

The Spanish Club had a great time at their recent meeting making fresh guacamole together! Students practiced their Spanish while following a recipe, learning new food-related vocabulary, and collaborating in a fun, hands-on environment. The activity brought language and culture to life—and of course, everyone enjoyed tasting their delicious creations. It was a perfect blend of learning and fun, and the club is excited for more engaging activities to come!
