7th GRADE FAMILIES
The Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholars Program is a selective five-year, pre-college scholarship for high-performing 7th grade students with financial need. It provides comprehensive academic and college advising, as well as financial support for high school, Cooke-sponsored summer programs, internships, music/art lessons, hard and software needs, and other learning enrichment opportunities that are specific to the student. This is an amazing opportunity that could introduce students to educational options that may otherwise have been unavailable to them.
Throughout the winter and spring, they are offering online workshops for any family that is interested in submitting an application. Attached is a flyer with dates and information about the workshops. The host will review the application, and offer support as families are working to complete and submit the required information. The application is now open and will close May 9, 2022.
