Information for Families
Dear Timberwolf Families,
The craziness of the last 30 days of school have begun. It will be important to continue to stay informed about what is happening around the school over the last seven weeks of school. We do have a lot of lost and found items that have gathered since the March Break. We have organized and displayed these items outside of the school. We will put them outside each day during the school day for families to drop by and have a look for lost items. If you are picking up from Before and After Care, the items will be on tables in the hallway. All remaining items will be donated at the end of this week.
Congratulations to all of our Junior Basketball players on an excellent season. Both teams represented our school well at their tournaments at Queens last week. It was wonderful to see these players develop their skills over the season. Special thanks to Mrs. Dempster, Mrs Phippen, Ms. Hendricks and Mrs. Montgomery for the time that they put into coaching the teams.
Our Running Team finished their Road Racing season at the LCVI Road Race last week. We had some impressive results from all members of the team. Everyone from Truedell ran the entire distance and represented our school with pride. Our stand out performances were in the Grade 3 boys race where Oliver G was 1st overall, Spencer was 22nd and Connor H was 23rd out of 213 racers. All of our runners have been practicing four days a week since the March Break. Mrs. Montgomery, Mrs. L. Hilton, and I are incredibly proud of their effort throughout the season!!!
Next Wednesday, is our first Family Information Night. It will run from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at Truedell for caregivers. The topic will be supporting your child's mental health and wellness. This workshop will be valuable for caregivers of children in Kindergarten to Grade 8. Food and refreshments will be provided free by the school for all adults in attendance. Please refer to the flyer below for more information. We hope to see you there!
As always, please reach out to us if you have questions or need support.
Take care,
K. Esford, Principal
