On Wednesday, August 20th we will be hosting our "Take A Ride On A School Bus" event! This event is for incoming new CHES families! Students can experience a school bus ride, before the first day of school! School transportation information will be available and we will have FREE Kona Ice! Car riders and walkers are encouraged to attend! See our flyer below! 🏫

Judy Center Summer Highlights
🌞Judy Center students, families and staff made some great memories this summer! Check out some highlights from our field trips!
Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center
🦀Our field trip to the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center was an amazing, hands-on learning opportunity for our kids!
🐟Some of the critters that were caught included crabs, oysters and several different species of fish.
🦪Catching bay critters was definitely one of the highlights of our summer!
Tuckahoe State Park
⛺Tuckahoe State Park was the perfect place to visit for our "camping" week! We set up tents, learned about snakes, and played at the the tire park!
🐍Judy Center campers had an opportunity to learn and touch a California King snake, thanks to the Scales and Tales program at Tuckahoe State Park.
🐢This lucky camper found a box turtle in the pond!
Godfrey's Farm
🌽Our field trip to Godfrey's Farm was all about healthy fruits and vegetables! Yum!
🍓Our Judy Center families went on a scavenger hunt around the markets to see how many different fruits and vegetables they could find!
🥦The kids love to help mom with the grocery shopping!
Adventure Aquarium
🐡The moon jellies were so cool to watch as they moved through the water!
🐟Getting a glimpse of what it looks like under the ocean.
🦛We met a hippopotamus named Genny at Adventure Aquarium. It was amazing to see her up close!

What is the Judy Center and Who Do We Serve?
The Judy Center Early Learning Hub provides resources to help parents and caregivers prepare their children for success in school and life. We serve children and their families living in the Church Hill Elementary School zone from birth through age five. We also serve children who reside anywhere in Queen Anne's County IF they have an IEP/IFSP.
We provide home learning kits, playgroups, home-visits, field trips, and parent/caregiver support. All of these services are FREE!
In addition, we can connect families to other services such as adult education classes, childcare support, healthcare services, food assistance and much more.
