We are all very proud of you and cherish the time that we have spent together. To our Early Grads --- CONGRATULATIONS! Please note you are still invited back for all senior events - have your parents check their emails for future communication. To all other seniors, in only a few weeks, it will all be done. Over these next weeks, we still have learning to do, AP exams to take, and senior events to celebrate. Please read through this special LHS Senior Class Update for important information regarding the next few weeks.

Chromebook Sticker Removal

As we collect Chromebooks from seniors, many times there are multiple stickers remaining on their Chromebooks. Technology is asking that we remind students to remove any stickers that they placed on them (with the exception of the WSD decal, Asset Tag, and name label). This will greatly assist as we clean the Chromebooks up for other uses in the district.

Discovery Ridge Graduate Event (Hosted by DRE) Discovery Ridge Graduate Event (Hosted by DRE)

DRE would like to celebrate your LHS graduates (DRE alums) by inviting them back to Discovery Ridge on Monday, May 22 at 2:30 PM for a school-wide drive-and-wave parade around DRE.

DRE plans to begin lining student cars up for the parade at 2:30 in the DRE parking lot. They will arrange to have an SRO officer stationed as a "pace car" at the front of the line. DRE elementary students and staff will line up on the sidewalk around the building, clapping to honor the soon-to-be graduates. The parade will begin at 2:40.

Bridge Walk

Families, please join us on the seniors last day "across the bridge" to welcome our seniors as they leave Liberty High School for the last time. The Bridge walk ceremony will begin around 11:30 am on May 24. Families are invited to greet the seniors across the walking bridge. We encourage families to arrive at 11:30 am and to park in the stadium lot. For more information on "what" the Bridge Walk is, please read below.

A tradition is an inherited, established, or customary pattern of thought, action, or behavior. It is the handing down of information, beliefs, and customs by word of mouth or by example from one generation to another.

Although the past two years have been extraordinary, we have a few established customs and beliefs that include acceptance, family, and spirit that we want to re-establish.

To symbolically mark the end of your senior year, we will participate in the Liberty Bridge Walk. Your families are invited to help “welcome” you across the bridge and into the next phase of your life.

Traditions bond people together as a shared experience. No other high school in Wentzville has a tradition of leading in the freshmen and leading the seniors out*, which is also symbolic. At Liberty, we think outside the box. We are creative and we dare to try new things. We are also welcoming and value a family atmosphere.

*Oscar Wilde said, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Others have tried to mimic this tradition, but this tradition belongs to YOU! #Eagleskingdom
