This Week: Conference Week
Conference Week is this week, running from Monday, October 5th through Friday, October 9th.
Parent-teacher conferences are a vital part of our school year. They offer a dedicated space to connect directly with your child’s teacher, review their academic progress, celebrate their growth, and collaborate on goals for the rest of the term. Working together as a team ensures your child gets the best possible support both in the classroom and at home!
Key Information for Conference Week:
Early Dismissal: All students will be dismissed early at 11:20 AM every day (Monday – Friday).
To-Go Lunch: Grab-and-go lunches will be available for students at dismissal before they head home or to after-school care.
After-School Programs: Both KLAS and Think Together will begin immediately at the 11:20 AM dismissal time each day.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
On-Time Arrival: Maximizing Every Minute of Learning!
A quick reminder to all families that our school day begins promptly at 8:00 AM. We know that morning traffic around campus can be unpredictable and heavy, so we encourage everyone to plan ahead.
To help ensure a smooth drop-off, our campus gates open early at 7:30 AM, giving students plenty of time to arrive calmly and ready to learn. Every minute of class time counts, so thank you for partnering with us to help your scholars start their day on time!
Celebrating Our Reclassified Scholars! 🌟
Reclassification means a student has demonstrated full English language proficiency—meeting rigorous academic, reading, and writing standards to transition out of English Learner status and excel in all core academic subjects. Please join us in congratulating these dedicated scholars on this major milestone.
We are so proud of your hard work, perseverance, and success!
LCAP Educational Partner Meetings
Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) Educational Partner Meetings bring together families, students, staff, community members, and district leaders to share ideas, provide input, and work collaboratively to help shape district priorities and actions. These meetings give educational partners an opportunity to learn about the district’s goals and progress, share their perspectives and experiences, and provide feedback that helps inform the development and implementation of the LCAP.
We value the voices and experiences of our educational partners and look forward to learning together and working collaboratively to support positive outcomes for all students. Please let us know if you are interested in attending. You can email tara.lubrano@sesd.org or rob.felicano@sesd.org. You can also call the front office at 408-522-8229.
